Hello everyone I was wondering if there was any way to play multiplayer gba roms on a NDS? Or on any handheld for that matter? Thank you

It might be possible for an emulator to translate the link cable data into wireless form. Assuming connection speeds are fast enough to keep up.

gba cartridges at least, had faster read/write speeds than NDS. I'm not sure about multiplayer rate.

When in the GBA mode of the DS, there is no way to access the wifi hardware, and the link cable parts of the motherboard have been crippled beyond repair. The short answer is no.

However, NES DS apparently has a multiplayer mode that may work if you have the right version. That's really the only emulator I've heard of that has that feature.

EDIT: Lumstar, you are correct. The timing of the serial-based link cable was very difficult to program for, even among official developers. The only programs I can think of off the top of my head that managed to program around those limitations are PocketNES and Herg's Solitaire.

Gambia, The
802.11b has a maximum raw data rate of 11 Mbit/s

Transfer rates of 256Kbit/s or 2Mbit/s can be selected, however, the fast 2Mbit/s is intended ONLY for special hardware expansions that are DIRECTLY connected to the GBA link port (ie. without a cable being located between the GBA and expansion hardware). In normal cases, always use 256Kbit/s transfer rate which provides stable results.
Transfer lengths of 8bit or 32bit may be used.

So it is possible but there is only one gbaemu (http://gbatemp.net/topic/281715-gba-emulator-for-dsi-dsi-entry/) that run in ds mode and it dose not run very well yet. All other run on a CPU in the slot-1 card.

That's really the only emulator I've heard of that has that feature.

copper's DS 1943 and Show Bros. DS have NIFI support. of the 2 i could never get snow bros. to work. i also think that Canyon DS has NIFI support as well, although i am not 100% sure.

DS Doom and Quake DS had WIFI multiplayer support. DS Doom via the prboom server application, where quake was ad-hoc.

there was also that tank game developed for the homebrew bounty that had 2-player wifi support. i never was able to get it working.

@The Real Jdbye, I thought about that and I have blank DVD's and Blurays but honestly after like 90 songs I just listen to it a couple of hundred times toss it out and burn something else or have like 2-3 CD's. Florida here the heat in the car tends to ruin the CD's after like a few months even commercial pressed ones don't last too long.
