Hacking risks to using tin foil for rcm?

There is always a risk when hacking and modding. This has been stated many times over. If you don't want to take the risk then just don't do it.
You seem to be arguing just to argue.
I am one of those that choose to take the risk, and although I've had a few "wft did I just do" or "wtf just went wrong" moments, my switch is still here and going strong.

I solved that eventual problem by only using it once and then installing AutoRCM.

Pretty much did the same as well... assuming Nintendo doesn't have some method of detecting Autorcm.

To make myself clear, I did use the method about ten times. And the threat of it being jammed into the rail is real. Thankfully fishing it with a mini screw driver works just fine. To be honest, if your good with your hands, and you play it smart, then go for it. But if your someone who is terrible with hand eye coordination, or inconsiderate of what they are doing. Then I don't recommended it period the end.
So can we all agree that every jig has it's up and downs? This argument is boring me, which you know something went wrong if it begins to become boring for me. (since I love arguing)

Yep I can confirm that tinfoil is working great on the first boot to RCM. I just cutted in small square and roll it with tooth pick. After I stick it with scoth tap amd adjust the end by tooth pick again to be line up on top of the pin 9 and 10. After just slide it back and boot.

With tinfoil mod on I not often remove joycon from the console. If I dock it I will pair it with pro contoller. Confirm got no problem with charging joycon and sync problem .

Don't understand why people hating the tinfoil method like it killed their family and burned their houses or something yet are fine with paperclips or safety pins that could easily bend and damage the switch's rails. Been using tinfoil like a hundred times before I finally bought a jig and my switch was fine.

Just pair the joycons again and it will be fine.

Well yes it still shorts your pins so you have to remove it for it to work again when connected to switch.

May be it to thick and it not seating properly on pin 9 and pin 10 that is why I using tooth pick to rolled and adjust it to sit on pon 9 and pin 10 . Ps I got it work with no issue by my miss as she played RPG game from start till finish the game with no issue. Even while she docking to TV, but she using Pro controller not the joy con as we do not want it to rip thr foil and move from the position.

use one of the jigs from a usb. its in my opinion less damaging and rigid than a paper clip

I think if people having troble to get into RCM or think that the pin will break from using paper clip or Jig, then they might want to read into Autorcm to see the pro and con for using it.

Most methods risk some possible wear and tear to the console or permanent damage. You gotta do what you gotta do then just start using AutoRCM and not have to deal with it anymore.

Lol if you bridge pin 4 to 9 or 10 lmfao you shouldnt be bothering trying to mod. Its bery safe and has no wear and tear . Tinfoil is very thin and easily ripped now as for the joycon pins well there sturdy and very strong for the use the joycon gets being removed and hooked up over and over.. lol people advocating jig depending on where you buy one those will do alot more damage of a course period of.time then tinfoil
