I have read all the posts on this thread and the "System Menu questions/thoughts" thread which led up to to this one.

I have successfully installed RiiskiMod 1.0 (also added move disc channel to hacks.ini - works fine) on NTSC Wii.

I have two comments/questions:

1. All of my NTSC games launch from disc channel fine. However, The PAL version of Kororinpa runs fine from Gamma Backup Launcher (no forcing), but gives a black screen when starting from the disc channel. It shows graphics in disc channel. I have read of PAL systems having issues with black screens, but not NTSC systems. Is this a limitation of the game or RiiskiMod?

2. I've read other threads that contain different entries in the hacks.ini file for Preloader. Would any of these additional entries help RiiskiMod or would there conflicts because of cIOSCORP?

Here are other versions of hacks.ini for Preloader:

Mr Stone - If your TV supports PAL and your sure - I would advise trying to run ARC and change video mode to PAL and then try your games. More than likely they will work. If they don't it's simply because the disc does not have PAL videp support.

Only change the video region if your sure your tv is multi standard tho as you would have to take your console t0 another tv that works in pal mode to be able to see the screen and change it back.

If you have an LCD or PLASMA, it is more than likely compatible, but don't hold me to that if its a cheap one.

maybe we need a google tutorial. If you're searching for something related to this forum and you get results that are way off from what you're looking for, tacking on "wii" the the query will usually bring you in line with what you're after. Also quotes around certain items can do wonders. I remember recently someone was getting ret -1 error. if you google ret -1 error wii nothing related on 1st page. but change it to ret "-1" error wii and the 4th hit on the first page let me inform him that it's caused by an error reading from the SD card.

Oh yes. Delete CIOSCORP.
Delete everything you see under "System Titles" in AnyTitle Deleter.
Do it.

No. Of course you overwrite them. Uninstalling them would be stupid.

Arm.... come on man.... that is a really bad post to put in a thread like this. You know how these people don't bother actually reading half of what they see.

I understand you're being sarcastic but the content of the sarcasm is very detrimental to this thread. Now the previous post to mine might not be real but when I first read your message I immediately thought, "Damn that's an Irresponsible post, somebody is not going to understand the sarcasm or read the whole thing and actually do it. I guess we'll find out.

Moderator please delete the posts containing this quote for the safety of noobs Wiis.

EDIT: Haha, everybody who read that post knew it was a terrible post and somebody would fuck up, thought we don't know this as fact yet.
EDIT2: Like I said... we did not know the brick to be fact. Still a poor post.

ok the reason i asked that was casue i was not sure what to do then clarkey answerd that... and i did what he said and now i can play back ups on the wii through the disc channel (btw that was not sarcasm... that was serisous question) and the reason like saying to the mod question was protecting the noob wii users from bricks but hey it's there call if there wii gets bricked in the @$$. now since i read some more of the topic the web page is down? did they get a new one or they going hold off the release? till then (sorry tried at the moment)

what's odd about this realease is i can play BW2 online and still TT is laggy like a beech...

Instead of changing video modes to PAL right off the bat, a good way to find out if your TV can handle PAL is to simply force one of your games in Gamma to PAL. Its pretty disappointing that quite a lot of LCD & Plasma TVs can't display both NTSC/PAL. It seems like such a nobrainer feature to incorporate into sets even if most people wouldnt use it.

Well I had been tested the NTSC/PAL comp on 2 LCD TV's now, a Venturer 22" with DVD built in (how cheap do you think is that one) and a 32" Sanyo (also pretty cheap) and they both could handle the PAL input, so I really don't know how cheap has to be the LCD/Plasma TV for not hadling the PAL/NTSC input....!!!

Clark your site is down.. I see in your sig there is a v3 now? Any difference from v2? guess I should go back and look at the first post....
Have you actually read the thread? It's been covered.

You can't search for "v3", "3.0" or any iterations of that.
Instead of having an attitude, just help a guy out; damn.

NO I didnt read the 88 pages of the thread.. I made it to like 30 or 40 before, and just came back and noticed the v3... Thanks for checking though.

My LCD TV does handle PAL. Seems that Kororinpa doesn't have NTSC video support because when I forced to NTSC in Gamma it hung at a green screen. When forcing to PAL or not forcing, my resolution was showed to 576i.

I went back and reread the beginning pages of the thread and it looks like Jizmo had explained the issue with some PAL discs with NTSC system.

QUOTE said:

I completely understand the issue is the lack of video support by the title though, not a problem with this Mod package.
QUOTE said:

So basically what it comes down to is.... All Region 1:1 backups show up and play from Disc Channel as long as the Disc has your Console's Region Video Mode present. The games that I tried that didn't have NTSC Video support I was able to run from Gamma or Softchip.

I see that Preloader 0.26 was just released - hopefully this will resolve the issue.

i can tell you now before I go to bed - this package will not be coming out today as its not complete yet. We are still working on it and as soon as we have something u will have something.

You should see a video put up today of a the start up screen for Riski V3 or just an example of what it will do depending on the amount of time we have.

Sit back relax and enjoy the show.

Not long now...
