Hey guys, if I install the patched ios31 for wii u with a wad manager on vwii, it wont brick vwii mode or anything, right?

No it won't brick anything.

It is needed, because you need the new RSA key from the RC24 devs which has to be patched in the IOS.

What OS are you using and you may want to come to the riiconnect24 discord and ask the development team. They seem to know more than I do.

I've been a user of RC24 for about 2 months now and i'm looking forward to things like the message board and the Check Mii Out Channel. Though, when I got started, I don't think I even used the IOS31 patcher (either that or I just used WiiMod and selected all patches and set the rev to 65535), yet the News Channel works and the Forecast channel still has some old forecast. I'm playing a 4.3U Wii. Also I was thinking maybe you could have a weekly announcements message so we can know what's going on, that you actually got connected properly, and to let people know it's not nearly abandoned l̶i̶k̶e̶ ̶S̶u̶d̶o̶M̶e̶m̶o̶ ̶s̶e̶e̶m̶s̶.

Just went through the RiiConnect24 instructions and accepted the new EULA, however when I open the News or Forecast channel, I get the same 'service has been discontinued' message as I did previously. I'm currently on 4.3E and it's been a fair while since I did anything with the Wii, the last thing I did being installing Wiimmfi I may well have missed something, could anyone help?

I used the IOS31 Patcher first and then installed it via WiiMod Lite

I installed IOS31 with WiiMod and directly downloaded IOS31 with all patches and set the rev to Rev 65535. Works.

I joined the Discord server and got banned by Larsenv for reason "fighting like a 2 year old" because I said Wiimod is better then Wiimod lite. I probably deserved it anyway.
