Homebrew RiiConnect24 - WiiConnect24 Replacement

Hey guys. Most of you already know about RC24 but all the threads on gbatemp about it are old or not updated.

RiiConnect is a WIP WiiConnect24 Replacement.
Not to be confused with Nintendo WFC for online gameplay, RiiConnect24 is meant to revive the message board and other channels functionality.

Thanks for the update. Glad to hear you guys are still working on it. Do you think you will ever be able to bring back the in game wiiconnect24 stuff. Like how nintendo would send us messages and items in game on Animal Crossing City Folk?

Edit: Just checked out the site and the only thing is that in your how to connect instructions it makes no mention of needing to patch IOS 31, how to patch it, or how to install it once it is patched. I know it's mentioned else where on that site that you need IOS 31 patched but that's it. Just trying to look out for all the noobs who may come to your site.

Not sure about the animal crossing WiiConnect24 messages. That might require alternative work.

Just curious to ask, is the News Channel "region specific" as when the service was re-launched, it wasn't working for me (even though the console language is English and the region is set to United Kingdom).

Additionally, you will need to patch IOS 31 (and possibly other things in your NAND). You can download IOS 31 from the NUS and patch them with this application for Wii U (vWii)

Isn't patching official vWii ios stops the WiiU from updating?
Does the package provide a way to backup and restore the official ios?
I know you can backup and restore by other means but those process might be too complicated for noobs/lazy guys.

Just curious to ask, is the News Channel "region specific" as when the service was re-launched, it wasn't working for me (even though the console language is English and the region is set to United Kingdom).

What was the error code?

Patched IOS is installed on console and custom DNS is set correctly in Internet Settings.

That means RSA Verification Failed. This is very common to get.

You should wait until this comes out to try this, as we patched IOS 31 to change the RSA Public Key.

"This patch is needed to replace the RSA Key in the Wii so we can sign our files."

Please don't be like this, it's a big project and takes a while. This is a pet peeve of mine to be honest.

We had to delay this, we're almost done but we're moving servers at the moment.

Please be patient.

We don't have any dumps for this, but we're working on making the Mii Products available in this channel.

It's not that it doesn't work at all, but I'm just saying it would probably be better to try when the custom news works since the files on the server now were from a few years ago.
