Formatting your disk is something you should get used to doing.

I find that it fixes a ton of problems.

Yeah, once you Reformat your card you really shouldn't need to do it again.
And Warning to anyone out there reading this, everything on your card gets deleted.
Have a back up of your chip. (Cut everything on your chip to a separate folder on your computer)
