https://github.com/hissorii/retrofd it hasnt had updates in awhile but has anyone had luck w/ it ? as far as i last heard theres was a image floating you could flash that rooted the underlaying base androidOS on the Retron5 that allowed ADB and i've seen people getting it to run RetroArch (even PCSX ReARMed) but if i recall. wasnt the Retron5 needing per-device Signed FW? as i recall for the short time RetronRGB had one going but stoped after awhile taking requests and has been out of contact since for this. then theres this "retroFD" for both teh retrofreak and the Retron5
Anyone got luck w/ it or know of a usable guide to getting it to play nice w/ RetroArch? as what i saw on YT it was running FF7 pretty smoothly. granted the video's 3 years old but the uploader never gave any hint how to .
it'd be nice to get more bang out of this (i could always stick to my RPi 3 but this offers a nice bonus of using physical carts for alot of systems from the NES/Famicom to the sega Gen/SNES, and the Gameboy family. while still it being an emulation machine it gives bit more of a "Console" feel than using a RaspberryPi. )
