and I can already see there is performance differences, the game Bust A Move stutters when played on Mame2010.
So you have to weigh more Roms against performance.
Didn't notice you post ,Did you use shaders or overlay that can cause the drop ?
i have just tested pbobblen and it works at 100% (59,1fps) sound is just perfect and no stutters.

edit: but BTW your are right , mame 0.139 is c++ code and under 0.136 it was C , moving to C++ has caused a general slowdown + the fact that mamedev tend to be more accurate version by version ( less hack , less speed).

Here is a snippet from my playlist.

Isn't BlueMSX for MSX/MSX2 games only?

Edit:
Nevermind, blueMSX boots Colecovision games as well.
Seems right! Either that or CoolCV, but that one's not on Wii U that I know.

Yeah I keep getting a "failed to load content" everytime I try to load a game for that core. And when I try to load a coloecovision game from my playlist, I get that ISI system crash screen. :-/

Mmmm have you tried unzipping it?
The game should be in .rom .mx1 .mx2 .col .dsk or .m3u.
Perhaps that'd help.

One other thing, do you have the correct BIOS files for each system?
Coleco needs bios named coleco.rom in the corresponding BIOS folder, so check if you have it as well.

hmm, still getting DSI error. I have the 2 bio folders for this core, and I unzipped the game to have its ".col" extension showing. I load the core, the I try to load the game and I get the DSI error screen.

Does it happen with both loading from playlist and loading from the "Load Content" option?

Here is my sd card setup. I obtained the 2 folders needed for the core, and have them in the "system" folder, and to be safe, I have the coleco.rom bios in the "system" folder. I also have that same bio file within "sd:/retroarch/cores/system/Machines/COL - ColecoVision/

sd:/retroarch/cores/system/Databases/
sd:/retroarch/cores/system/Machines/
sd:/retroarch/cores/system/coleco.rom

With all of that, I get a DSI error when tryig to load a .col game.

Mmm that's odd.
Can you put a pic of the DSI error here?
Perhaps @QuarkTheAwesome might know what is happening with the DSI crash log.
