I've found another issues in the last build with the snes9x core.
1) The .ips files (rom patches like translations), it detects them correctly (popup shown by loading) but it crashes after loading the game.
Using the same files with the PC works as expected.
2) Support for snes mouse not working? I tried "Mario to Wario" and changed the controller to snes mouse but it's not detected (neither stylus nor gamepad controls)

I don't think patching on the fly works on Wii U, I tested it (a while ago on the Tiramisu version) and the .ips file simply wouldn't load, so I just patched the roms using Floating IPS instead.

The CannonBall core was working on the Wii. So aren't they fixing/working on the CannonBall core on the Wii U right now or in the future?

The Cannonball core works fine on Aroma RA, just tried it myself ;)

Snes Mouse isnt supported on WiiU through stylus :/ Tho you can get a rom hack that allows you to use a gamepad instead iirc, same goes for Mario paint.

I tested the newest Aroma RA and the PSXReARMed core, it's working great, but it always displays FPS, even when the option is turned off, is that normal?

No that's not normal. There are 2 fps displays, 1 is Retroarch's own fps counter and 1 is the cores own fps counter (in the core settings) make sure both are disabled.

I get this when using the psxrearmed core also and I have the fps turned off in both the core and the main restroarch settings also, and turning on and back off doesnt help either :(

Try deleting your Retroarch.cfg

EDIT: and any files in the pcsx_reamred.cfg in retroarch/config/pcsx-rearmed

Is there an Atari 2600 core for Aroma RA?

I turned off the FPS display on "Settings/User Interface/On-Screen Notifications/Notification Visibility/Display Framerate" and it worked, try deleting your Core Override settings and save them again afterwards if you have them.

I'm not 100% but I think the Picodrive Core supports the Sega Pico..

The VMU does use a bios but I don't think you need it for the Core to work.

The Jaguar Core should be in this thread somewhere, I did post I ages ago.. It really is slow tho, unplayable. But if you want it it should be here somewhere.

Tiger.com is supported in Retroarch just not the WiiU port.. Tiger.com is loaded through the later MAME Cores from MAME2015 for us to be able to use the Tiger.com we would need someone to be able to compile the MAME 2015 Core, I tried it myself but it gave alot of errors during compilation and I don't know how to fix it :P

@sonictopfan don't say I didn't warn you lol
Atari Jaguar Core compile :)

I know this is old and I'm sorry, but would you mind reuploading this? (https://easyupload.io/9a06wu)

Would it also be possible to port the Flycast core to Aroma at some point? I suppose with everything else though.. You'd spend most of your time playing "whack-a-mole" with the "endian" issues within the code base.. As well as trying to get it to work under Aroma as well..

I think it's possible, but it would run so poorly that I don't think anyone would even bother trying.

I don't think it would be that hard to get it running quite acceptably on the Wii U.. With some very aggressive optimization..

IF Aliasspider managed to pull it off with his port of PPSSPP.. Then I'm sure Flycast wouldn't be that much harder to optimize for good performance on the Wii U either..

Given both the Dreamcast and PSP have very similar specs and performance to another.. IF the PSP edging slightly ahead of the Dreamcast etc..

Hi everyone,

I’m running the latest Wii U WIP Aroma build of RetroArch with the PCSX-ReArmed core (I haven’t tested the Tiramisu version), and I’ve run into a weird issue: any PS1 title that requires me to hold R2 (ZR on the GamePad) only ever sees a single press—even if I keep ZR held down.

So far I’ve tried:
- verifying the “Menu Toggle” hotkey wasn’t still mapped to ZR
- switching Quick Menu → Controls → Port 1 Controls → Device Type between Standard and DualShock
- disabling both Multitap 1 and Multitap 2 in the core options

Nothing changes: ZR still only fires one digital “press” event instead of remaining active.

Has anyone encountered this on Wii U Aroma? Is there a way to force ZR to act as an analog R2 axis for PCSX-ReArmed, or any other workaround to get a continuous hold signal? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

PLOGGY Sorry it's untested..
I cant remember if this Core ever worked on Tiramisu.. I don't think it did. P px68k_libretro.zip 6.8m
Hi Ploggy, is this the px68k_libretro.zip for Tiramisu you've given or the new compile for Retroarch Aroma?
Thanks for all ^^

Was wondering, why do the Devs never gives PROPER emulation named core related to the console? For example now, everybody now picodrive's core (well almost everyone but...Finally sure it's NOT the case) is for emulation of sega games, but
Every cores should be PROPERLY labeled ike this for exemple:
- AMIGA computer (PUAE), not just "PUAE
- C64 Computer (FRODO)
- PS2 console (Play!) and NOT JUST PUAElibreto or FRODOlibreto cores.....ETC
Some core are even WRONG, for example "Beetle PSX"....Just to Say PSX console exists and it's NOT the PS1 ^^
- Why not position the best core by order for each machine?
Easyness should be the word spread. why on earth didn't they labeled SEGAcores lie Segacores instead of Picodrive, for easyness! (mr Snake could you think of that?) Do they labeled "Vinegar core"s on their bottle containing pickles at home??
Do they put the words "making my bloody system work or maybe cutting the energy" instead of an "on/off" button?
For example, in this thread, I read a poor guy searching for a core for master system and he didn't find it of course we knew it was picodrive but why simplify the thing....Just saying, this defies Logicc...Are they against mr Spock? if they don't understand this logic, maybe asking a 8 years child would help in order to make Retroarch more ergonomic, a true really easy scan for rom directory is clearly NECESSARY with automatic association to the best core (in general). Seems even in a future version, except if I begin kicking the anthill against retrograde ideas.
