Except, I think PSX only works with RPX? Every ELF build of mednafen_PSX results in a black screen/console crash, might be the exception.
Well then, go use the rpx for psx and elf for anything that is not mame. Jesus christ it's not that hard to understand. If one doesn't work, use the other one.

Sorry if I sounded rude, but for fuck's sake, sometimes I swear...

Right, PSX core is gonna take...quite a while, if ever at all, I'd personally rather see that come to fruition than N64, mostly because many other devices run PSX emulators well, even low-end Android devices with 1 GHz can run PCSX well, so maybe. Ain't gonna hold my breath though :P Still, the emulator being able to close properly is a good step.
What about the WiiSX recompiler? Could it be of some use?

Also obvious: they are not the same machine. It won't work.
Obviously Mr Smart ass if you actually knew anything about the Neo_Geo CD you would know that it is the same machine as the normal Neo_Geo apart from it had CD drive as then they could sell the games at a cheaper price than the cartridge version. If you want to act like a wise guy at least get your facts right first otherwise you end up looking like a fool. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neo_Geo_CD&ved=0ahUKEwid2devutvQAhWLD8AKHTq5DZYQFgg2MAA&usg=AFQjCNF2oZEfDLEdF6ADg_4qowuZ18Jz5A&sig2=T1z-zHGXE3gIv8lUkxVQ2A

Believe, this has been proposed to death already, and i seriously doubt it has even been looked into.

I think that the "dynarec cores" are not even planned.

I thought that wasn't set in stone, i.e., it was too early to know that for sure? Do we really know if there won't be any PPC dynarec cores? Otherwise PSX would just be DOA.

You talk about being obvious, yet you write like you don't know about the machine you're trying to emulate. Why would someone test NCD games on the NG core? Maybe you are one of those people that believes that burning the Metal Slug 5 files into a CD will make it work, because "it is the same machine as the normal Neo_Geo". But go ahead, add the Neo_Geo CD (sic) BIOS and run the games in the Neo_Geo emu. Post pictures and be happy. Case dismissed.

Any luck getting HBL to load RPX emulators @niuus? If you need a DS game to exploit to install Haxchi...maybe I can help?
For the moment, i do not have any DS game to test.

BTW, you should use ELF instead of RPX for most of the cores and stop worrying about the builds. Just stay in one working version and forget about it as long as your games work, there's no need to update it daily.

Fair point, though PSX I'll keep as RPX as ELF doesn't work, but I don't think that'll work any faster for quite a long time, I mostly wanted to test out Fix94's even further audio fixes, which the builds I used didn't have. Using ELF, yes, I'll
do that. Don't see us getting PSP, DS or N64 for several months anyways.

Years, to be honest. Which is okay.

There is a great selection already working, at least.
You need prboom.wad file in the same diretory as the doom.wad and doom2.wad
Thanks for the tip! Working perfectly.

A valid point, no one knows when PPC dynarec will work, but there are already emulators that use it, possibly could be used as a template. I'd personally rather have PSX than N64.

I believe that if they were interested in porting others code, they would have started already, since they know the people, have the know-how and can google their way around if they like. They will probably start from scratch, which definitely won't take them 2 or 3 months, specially if this is just their hobby. Another reason they won't confirm nor deny it, is because some people is too damn entitled and intense with the subject (look what happened around the IOSU exploit, for example). Remaining in silence will give them comfort and space to work, learn, and enjoy the process without being picked on Twitter, Facebook, forums, etc.

The fact most of the cores already run full speed and without audio issues is damn amazing :P

There seems to be a lot of people interested in PSX emulation to keep this going, which seems fine and in place with the forum rules since i don't see anyone complaining nor blaming retroarch devs for the lack of a 100% working emulator. I thought that was the point of a forum? discussion?

Also if anyone else is interested, here is a build by FIX94. It is slow but may be enough for those who want to give some jrpgs a try. Works with homebrew launcher 1.4.
