Launching homebrew apps from "the album" hb menu gives you limited RAM access...
OK, that makes sense. Thanks for the explanation.

As for the NSP... ....if you are already banned or don't care about it at all, you can use the forwarder without any problems.
That's actually great news. I've never connected this switch to the internet and never plan to so I'll look into using a forwarder.

Thanks again again for the information, you've been very helpful.

Hi has anyone got backgrounds working on xmb? It's supposed to be a .png on other platforms but this doesn't seem capable of even viewing png files for some reason
I tried making a jpg but it crashed
I figured based on a bit of searching that it would be the same resolution as the Wii U Retroarch port (1440x900) but i've tried sizes even smaller than that, as well as just putting a "bg.png" file into my theme folder but nothing seems to work, any ideas?

Does anyone know why Retroarch would only detect player 1 as a controller? I am attempting to use 4 pro controllers with a Mupen next core to play Mario Party games for the N64. Player one is fine, but I can't get it to recognize other controllers for multiplayer. Even if I go into mapping and try to manually map the other controllers, their inputs aren't recognized.

Did you pair all 4 controllers natively in the Switch menu before even launching RetroArch?
Because that's what I do and that way all can be used out of the box in RetroArch.

Yes I did. I genuinely have no idea why it's not working. I even cleared my retroarch files and tried a fresh install. Any chance you'd be willing to send me the files you have on your Switch? I honestly have no idea why it won't work.

That won't help u much. I just got them directly from the buildbot.

Anyone else having this issue?

I am also having this issue, I've tried Pokemon Stadium, Bomberman 64 and Crash Bash and encountered the exact same issue in all 3. Only player 1's controller works, all other controllers, regardless of whether they are joycons or pro controllers, do not work.

I'm currently running the latest nightly build but I was running 1.9.6 stable and had the same issue. I've reinstalled twice to no avail. I am also connecting my controllers prior to opening HBMenu/RetroArch.

I've pretty much reached the end of google at this point and don't know what to try next.

Have you tried previous RA versions? I'm on latest atmos, fw 11.0.1, RA 1.9.4 and no issues with multiple controllers. I tried using joycons as p1 and my 8bitdo controller as p2, everything works fine in Crash Bash, CTR and other games (including N64).

Thanks for the suggestion! 1.9.4 works nearly perfectly out of the box, and just needed multitap turning on for 4P to work in PCSX!

new update on mupen64plus_next_libretro_libnx fixes lot GoldenEye 007 control map perfect but gameplay it slow down. Banjo-Tooie crashes or frozen. Also Banjo couldn't hold on the edge of cliff or the crack on the wall do the walk on his hand. Also there will be Flycast standalone coming soon what m4xm tweeted Im excite about it and im sure it will be alot difference than on retroarch just like PPSSPP standalone

Should be worth noting the the Ocarina of Time freezes and Epona carrots showing up have been fixed too.
Give the game a good try for an hour or more.

Also, is anyone else having issues with Mario Kart not highlighting the selection in the main menu, and the characters selecting having the current selected one blacked out?

Yes I have that problem too for Mario Kart. I am not up to date, nightly RA 1.9.3. I tried pretty much all options but nothing helped.
