Some assistance please ?

My first time using RetroArch on any device... I've got everything where it's meant to be updated everything

Load core Mupen64plus, goto Load Content select rom which presents browse archive or load archive when i select load archive it comes up with only 2 suggested cores Arcade (FB Alpha) and Arcade (MAME 2000) - even though I already loaded the core

Any advice please

would personally wait for a detailed guide with all info included as nobody really seems to no exactly what they doing

Just seems a shame, as it's all running fine but at the very final hurdle of loading the rom it's only showing 2 recommended cores, which is really weird when I already loaded the correct core

have you tried loading the core first then loading a rom? have you also tried changing the core it loads in the playlist settings?

Hi mate, yes I've tried loading the correct core and then loading the rom but each time I attempt to load a rom it comes up with 2 suggested cores and no others, ignoring the one I loaded prior

weird

then have you changed in the settings tab under playlist. should say n64 then press right to choose its core?

Under settings tab and then playlists there is nothing stating n64

Perhaps I should just give up and wait on a guide like you say

Thanks for trying to help all the same

no worrys. hopefully someone uses there brains and writes a proper guide. without partial info all over the place. thought the developers actually wanted people using there stuff but hey....

You see, I'm doing exactly that. I am running sxos (for my sins) on 6.2 - used the nsp to load RetroArch

I followed parts of the guide on youtube by Jason L (think he goes by Leonidas87 on here), he has a bunch of files linked on his guide and I used them, all seems fine now

Mario 64 is a thing of beauty
