What is the best NES emulator in terms of accuracy and speed ? FCEUmm, NEStopia or Quicknes ?

Nestopia > fceumm > quicknes
Nestopia is the one with the least error in hardware emulation testing.
On switch Overlay does not work on fceumm, nestopia ok.

Do you have that rainbow ground? Which rom do you use? Usa or europe?

enable dithering in the core options

This PCSX-Rearmed Enhanced Resolution option doesn’t work on Switch so why don’t remove this.

Core settings: bilinear filtering 3point, framebuffer deactivated,
System settings: 1.7 OC
Video Settings: threaded video on, vsync off
Driver Settings: driver audio switch_thread

= no sound crackle on Zelda OOT.

Anyone getting crackling/static noise in certain MAME games? Getting it with games like dkong, dkongjr, dkong3, mario...mostly older Nintendo games, actually.

I thought it was related to samples, but they play ok. It also happens with dkong3 which doesn't have samples. And doesn't happen in berserk which has samples.

Happens with Mame 2003 and 2003 plus. I tried a couple with Mame 2000 but they don't even load.

GB(C) -> gambatte
GBA -> mGBA
NES -> nestopia

Golden Sun on vba next in retroarch has no spell effects when using psynergy. Is there a fix for that? Mgba simply doesn't support saving in that game.

For everything Game Boy (Colour and Advance) go for mGBA.
As for NES, most accurate core is Nestopia, but FCEUMM also does the job quite nicely.

ok i need help. after playing around with retroarch for a bit i got stuck in the old view mode with the green and white text. how do i get back so i can change the clock speed back?

Thank you it still the same but it disappeared after area changed. Maybe it is game default?
But now it doesnt stutter/lag anymore after frame duping off and dithering on

You must change your video driver to GL !
Just in case if someone got the same problem

Not anytime soon. Maybe never. I still cant manage to get consistent fullspeed in mario64.

Hey is there a way to use retroarch with an external USB, which is inserted in the docking station?
Cause I can't use retroarch on my ExFat formatted internal microSD card. So I wanted to use an external USB drive (Fat format).

so ive been playing majora's mask and the games running pretty well but i keep getting black screens during certain cut scenes. Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks
