Has anyone had this problem? When I attempt to run a psp iso from retroarch, it immediately crash's with the error "The software closed because an error occured."

Not sure what to make of it. None of the other cores I've tried have this issue. It just seems to be psp games.

Info:
Retroarch version: 1.8.4
Core Info: ppsspp
Troubleshooting steps after crash: Updated installed cores, assets, database's, etc.
Atmosphere version: 0.9.4
Emunand Version: 9.0.1

Note: The standalone ppsspp emulator runs fine. I just wanted to use Retroarch for overclock.

Do you have the required psp assets in system folder? Also, update atmos to the latest version. And have you tried multiple games? Just to note, standalone version is better in almost every aspect, you can oc with sys-clk (plus there's even a tesla overlay for that to oc on the go).

On top of the built in ppsspp core? I wasn't aware there was an extra step. Is there a guide that explains what I need?

Do I have to edit the config's for this or does it just work out of the box? The video's all seem to spend time talking about the configs.

Uhm...you can read all necessary stuff about ppsspp core here https://docs.libretro.com/library/ppsspp/

Sys-clk is a sys-module that runs in the background. To OC a certain title, you either can edit the .cfg file manually or you can get sys-clk editor and make your changes right on the switch. And on top of that, if you install tesla (https://gbatemp.net/threads/tesla-the-nintendo-switch-overlay-menu.557362/), you can OC whatever you want just from the overlay menu which is super convenient. Here's the sys-clk overlay for tesla - https://github.com/Sun-Research-University/sys-clk-Overlay/releases

I am getting the same error -- not immediately but after a couple of minutes/seconds.

EDIT: The standalone version of the PPSSPP emulator is MUCH better. Just try this one, until the RA version becomes steady as well.
