No it's not, it's been around for quite some time now.
Dynarec is available for people with 9.2 sysNAND N3DS systems, and only for the CIA version.

Crud. I followed the OTP guide and transferred my EmuNAND to my SysNAND to get rid of it permanently. Is there a way to get this on 10.7 with a9lh+CakesFW?

gPSP cia is pretty good on my o3ds. Got full speed on Pokémon games, with slowdowns only during battle introductions (and weird audio too), and when saving.

Using the Latest Stable release, I've been trying to launch Digimon World 3 on the PSX core and it fails to launch the game, erroring when it's applying dynarec. Is anyone else having the same problem? Tried deleting the config file but the result is the same.

EDIT: Tried Gran Turismo as well. Same problem. Error and then it restarts.

ARM9LoaderHax with sysNAND should allow for dynarec just fine, regardless of sysNAND version.

Just a quick question, if you don't mind. I've tried searching for the answer, but can't find anything. How would I know if ARM9LoaderHax is installed? What requires ARM9LoaderHax that could help me verify it or not?

If arm9loaderhax.bin isn't in the sd root, then the system will turn off.

If you have to ask if you have it or not, you most likely don't have it. However, if you boot your 3DS without an SD card inserted, does it:

A) Turn off immediately
or
B) Stay on a black screen indefinitely, but when you reboot with an SD card that has arm9loaderhax.bin in the console, it works fine?

If you can answer yes to either of those, you probably have it. Or, alternatively, if you can boot into sysNAND and run CIAs straight away without using MenuHax to boot pasta/minipasta/Rx dev mode/pasta mode, then you more than likely have it.

Trust me, you'd know if you had it, especially if you did the process yourself.

Excellent. Thank you!

Is there any sort of setting I have to configure in Retroarch to turn this on? I realize I got a little hyped (even though it's still far from running PS1 games perfectly) and didn't look over this detail.

it should be on by default, but if it's not, it's under Core Options -> Dynamic Recompilation. Note that the Core Options menu only shows up after you've started a game, and that if you change the Dynamic Recompilation option, you have to quit RetroArch and then launch it again.

Is there a way to load music in the psx core that isn't in the cue/bin file?
I'm talking mainly about Alien Trilogy, that game has like 14 extra bin files and i guess that's the music for it, as it doesn't play in-game.

This is a good question and I am willing to experiment with this.

Basically, these extra files are the CD Audio tracks, the .bin files are raw PCM. PCSX presumably expects these to be encoded into a specific format (.wav? .mp3? Inside a single .bin file?) and also named accordingly. I'll mess around with this over the weekend.

@aliaspider, can you give some input on this? I even reinstalled everything from the beginning to test if it was a problem with some CIA or something but it still happens. The BIOS files are in core/system too. Really don't know why this is happening.

Hi all,

I'm still in a pickle with attempting to run Windows 95 on Dosbox. :(
Here's the scenario at the moment: I have a W95.IMG that works in Shutterbug2000's build of Dosbox (1.3.0).
However, I would like to also run the Windows 95 image file in a CIA build of the latest Dosbox so I can get mouse support.

I tried to use the same procedure that I use to get Windows 95 working on Shutterbug2000's build, however, the CIA build just doesn't work the same way for some reason.
Either it just hangs at "starting Windows 95" or it just hangs on a constant blinking underscore...

Is someone available to walk me through the steps to make it work with the latest builds? I am really determined to get this working!

Don't expect him to answer. He is the porter of RetroArch, yes. But not a support 24/7 guy. He don't have to be that either. .

I guess you have a N3DS? There are one thread by LarBob that probably will answer most of your questions.

That thread is more about the Shutterbug2000 build, and there's very minimal info about getting dosbox builds to run it.

Unless... have you ever been successful in running Win95 in the latest dosbox builds (with mouse support)?

I haven't actually tried win95 on my N3DSXL yet. Did you have a N3DS? Otherwise it is very sloooow....
