RetroAchievements adding GameCube support July 15th

This Monday, July 15th GameCube support is coming to RetroAchievements! It's a great time to dust off some GCN classics or 100% something in your backlog. All while earning some fun achievements in the process. Support looks to be limited to the Dolphin emulator at this time. More info on getting Dolphin setup will follow the release. Right now, there is around 100 games ready with achievement sets. A handful of other games have sets in the works as well.

To commemorate the launch, RetroAchievements will be holding a four month long event. This event includes earning points by beating a game or mastering a game. There are also 2x and 3x multipliers available for a handful of games. All points will go towards leveling up your badge. Lastly, earning points is limited to Hardcore mode to keep it challenging and fair.

Is there any point to having an Ethernet Adapter beyond using FTP for the ROM transfers?

I think it can emulate a broadband adapter for some games. But not 100% sure.

I think it enables things like multiplayer Mario kart double dash

But tbh I’m also not 100% I’ve never had a GameCube so this could be wrong.
