Turns out that Retro Studios twitter was indeed fake. However Reggie has confirmed that Retro is hard at work on a non-Metroid game (http://au.wii.ign.com/articles/989/989497p1.html). When you think about, Kid Icarus would be the logical solution, Retro took Metroid, a franchise that hadnt seen any light since SNES and worked their magic with it. However recent reports stated that RS was indeed working on a Zelda game, a followup to Twilight Princess apparently, but was recently scrapped for unknown reasons (http://wii.kombo.com/article.php?artid=14229.)

Of course their are other Franchises like Starfox and Kirby which could do with a Wii game badly. Not to mention, we gotta put into consideration the Miyamoto roundtable later on, will we see anything there, hopefully Zelda Wii.

Retro? We know they're porting Metroid Prime 2 to the Wii currently.
I hope they make more Metroid. I love the Prime games.

well Team Ninja has been great making games such as Dead or alive series and other cool games. I hope they can make Metroid game to push the wii to its limits.

Its not Kirby, HAL Labs are still developing the Wii one (last heard of in the 2009 Japanese release list earlier this year).

They could have easily done a Kid Icarus game, maybe even redo their cancelled "Raven Blade" game for it.

I'd love to see a new Star Fox, but keep it on rails. Shame Factor 5 are dead now, they could have made a great Star Fox.

Factor 5 aren't dead, they just closed their US studio. They're still alive and well in Germany and are currently working on a Wii title which going by pictures leaked last month looks like a WWI or WWII flying game. Haven't checked for news of it from E3 yet though, but it'll look good if nothing else.

Miyamoto has expressed intrest in doing a Starfox Wii game himself. Kirby ofcourse is being developed by HAL. Nothing on FZero, and Retros never made a racing game, also i'm sure Amusement Vision for did GX will do a F-Zero Wii. Sopretty much its either Kid Icarus or something brand new. Personally, i doubt nintendo would ask Retro to start something completely new, theyd get EAD for that.

The prime series was intended as a trilogy and its going to be released as a boxset in the fall.

Only in the West, they're making the first two Metroid Primes seperate SKUs in Japan.
