Homebrew Retriarch not hiding main menu wen running game

When loading a ROM in Retroarch on new 2DS XL. It runs fine but the main menu won't hide when the rom is running. Just stays on blocking the top screen. How do I fix?

Looked everywhere but can't find the answer. Just wondering if anyone can help.

I believe close menu is in the quick menu iirc sometimes you have to back out to access it. other than that maybe change your ui driver

Not sure about this. Still can't work it out because when the game starts the Main menu is not accessible. The controls are assigned to the loaded game.

Which retroarch build are you using? Stable, nightly? Which version or build date.

You should be able to toggle the main menu by touching the lower half of the bottom screen, after you've loaded a rom.

But if i understand correctly, the main menu stays open after you've loaded a rom? Instead of focusing on the rom, you stay in the menu with the rom loaded in the background?

If that the case, revert back to a earlier nightly build for now.

Build I am running is nightly. 2019-08-09_RetroArch_cia

Both menu and game are on the top screen.The lower screen can either be blank / turned off or just shows status statistics. No options to press.

Correct.

Thanks. I'll try a different build of Retroarch and see if the one I am using is the problem.

I'm unable to replicate the issue using the stella2014 core from the 12-8-'19, 9-8-'19 and 8-8-'19 builds.

Are you still having this issue, if so, which core?

A similar issue got reported 2 days ago, maybe it got fixed already.
