Homebrew Restoring save file?

is there a way to like extract the save file with jksm because i can pinpoint where the save file is
I don't think this is possible because the save is encrypted. Decrypting it from files that are in a nintendo 3ds folder that the 3ds does not register as valid is beyond my experience.

You can try asking around in the shout box or irc, or hope that someone else sees this, but I personally can't help you with that/don't know if it's possible with public tools.

I think in theory Decrypt9 should be able to do what you want, but I don't know how to do it myself.

A quote from its readme
  • Create XORpads for decryption of files in the '/Nintendo 3DS' folder

I'm gonna look into this a little more.

Edit: Start reading here if you want to learn https://github.com/d0k3/Decrypt9WIP

This looks promising.

  • SD Decryptor (SysNAND dir): An improved version of the feature above. This allows you to select content from /Nintendo 3DS/ (more specifically from the subfolder belonging to SysNAND) to be directly copied to your work / game folder and then decrypted from there.

It looks like if you copy your save file to the work folder, you can use decrypt9 to decrypt your save, and then you could use jksm to restore it!
