I recently did a clean start on my hacked switch, and before I did I backed up my wife's Pokemon Snap save via Edizon. I copied it over to the new install, and its listed and all, but I get a error each time I try to restore. I backed up and restored a new save with Edizon, so that seems to work. Only thing I can think of is the save was from a different user account on the old install. I made "dummy" ones via a homebrew, which obviously cannot be retrieved now.

Is there anyway to import a save back up into a different profile? Or is this not even the actual problem?

Any help would be amazing, as my wife will be hella pissed to lose her Snap save lol.

Thanks.

Have you tried using JKSV?
Ok so I installed and fiddled with it a bit. I don't really see any options to import saves or anything. I'm sure it's just me not knowing what I'm doing.

The saves are located in the EdiZon folders. I just need to know how/if I can import them to work with this new profile/install.

Thanks for the help. Sorry.

After redoing your setup did you reinstall the game? If you had to and don't have save data now (not talking bout the backup you made, talking bout if you go into settings, manage save data and its not there) then you need to boot the game once to be able to inject the save

Yeah I've launched it before. It's listed with all the other games played on this new profile, but only lists "new" when I click it. I have the actual save file copied from EdiZon. You'd think I could just inject that into a new profile, somehow. So confusing. Thanks for trying to help.
