Well, 'System WAD' was my first thought, and svpe confirmed it. Heck, I don't consider myself a *ahem* 1337 hacker and I could have done something like this using (for example) NUS Downloader.icefireicefire said:yep, 9th_sage, this is NOTHING special

Neversoft said:If any of you are still in doubt as to whether or not this "fix" is a fix for anything or could possibly harm your Wii, take a look at this thread where Vidboy10 recommends this fix to a guy with a weird Wii issue. Remember how this "fix" can't possibly brick/fuck a Wii? Tell that to the poor sap who listened to Vidboy10 and used this to try and fix his weird semi-brick/corruption problem on Vidboy10's recommendation in the thread. The net result? One dead Wii.
Vidboy10, I realise you're trying to help people but you're not knowledgeable enough on the subject to give out that advice. If I were the OP of the thread I posted above I'd pretty much be holding you responsible for that Wii because he could at least run apps on it prior to listening to you. What you're doing IS dangerous, probably illegal (due to the content of the wad) and simply doesn't do what it says on the tin.
