Hacking Restore save from damaged sd

Hy guys, I hope you can help me.

I downloaded Animal Crossing for 3ds. To have extra memory space some weeks ago I changed the original sd with a 4gb sandisk. I copied all the content in the new one and I was in.

I downloaded the game and some days later the content of SD was unaccesible from 3ds (it never was happened before!!!). The only solution I found was to reload the save from pc in the SD (the same save from the older sd).
For safety some days ago i backupped all the sd on my pc (width animal crossing, and at least a week played)


Today the SD data cannot be read again...
I know that should be some protection on the sd data, and if the SD content is not the same of the backup the content is unusable.

Do you think is it possible (assuming that the damaged data is not the AC save), load all the previous backup, copying the save from the damaged sd?

If I understand you correctly, then you are trying to restore corrupt or lost data from a corrupt sd card? There are many programs capable of doing so, just try a google search ala "recover sd card" .... The first program that comes to mind would be "Recuva". I remember using it a while ago to restore pictures from an accidentaly formatted sd card of a friend, worked like a charm.

little edit: If its already the second time, that you get corrupted data on the same sd card.... then I would suggest getting a new one

When I write "corrupted data" didn't means that the data are really corrupted, in my pc the sd is working property. I think the 3ds system will check for something that gone wrong...


By the way, I'm happy to announce that I restored my AC save

The process:

1) I moved the "corrupted" sd files in my pc, with all my 3ds content that no more works (including the AC save)
2) formatted
3) I copied my old sd backup (with AC and AC -an old - Save).
4) I copied the last AC .save file ( point 1)
5) Launched AC e load save as never happened.


I believe that it work because the city in the old save is the same in the new save.

congrats and maybe you should follow GorTesK suggestion, sandisk sd cards are the best !!!! in my opinion

iirc, Animal crossing series on 3ds has saves in SD and NAND.
[According to what Gateway said days ago about their saves]
if you dump a AC save you should dump your nand, to avoid the checking failure against your sd save.
i would really blame for those bugs/inconvinent due to such a design logic.
So, you may not able to get your AC works properly.
You may want to restore your latest saves and use "new game". (well not sugguested at all.)

Dump the NAND? As far as I know that not really do-able for the general public at the moment.

Yes it could because of the stupid "high secure" save system Animal Crossing: New Leaf uses.

I don't doubt that it might be saving something to the internal nand (if not anything but a checksum), but the internal NAND is not where the main save is located.
