@ Quincy... did you look at error -ret 4100 on Kitt's compiled error list?

It says the following...

ret=-4100 WAD file Non Tech. Explanation:
Someone who made the
WAD file made a mistake
and the WAD file has
something wrong with it!
Technical Explanation:
The SHA- 1 hashes given
in the TITLE.TMD may be
wrong according to the
*.APP files bundled with it.
1) If you created the WAD
file, you should check the
TITLE.TMD regarding the
hashes (as mentioned). For
this, use a He-x Editor such
as “xvi32”. For more
information see following:
http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Tmd
_file_structure
2) If it’s your own WAD,
there might be some *.APP
files missing, resulting in
the same error as the 1st
description.
3) If it’s a downloaded
WAD file search for a
different source.
ret=-4100 DvD backup Can't/Could not read disc An issue with your burning
method. You could try
following:
1) Do not use no-name
brand DVD manufacturer
V1.5

Dude i already fixed it lawl...i dunno what the prob was but i made a new pc acc and tht worked(wadder FTW)

QUOTE(OSW @ Dec 30 2008, 02:11 PM) I compiled a version of Eject DVD that returns to system menu instead of HBC (hence the code dump.

I'll upload it if you like
smile.gif

I wonder, would it be better if it shuts down after eject? I'll see if i can compile that too (should be easy lol, i never compiled any wii code before now but it's only changing one line)

EDIT: ok maybe it's more than one line lol... but im working on it, im just a beginner

yesh please we need that one

edit:the Sysmenu one ofcourse

EDIT: here is the first one. Blank WAD included aswell (thats how i like it) http://gbatemp.net/index.php?download=4240
thx lol...ill use AutoInjectuWad to inject it in my old channel:D

just tried the eject button wad .... The disc ejects then screen dumps!! Like a lot of wads atm..

So most of them are useless if you gotta keep unplugging your wii to turn it back on...

right or wrong??

It's not the wad's fault, it's the homebrew.
Most homebrew is designed to be launched from the HBC, so it includes the function to return to the homebrew channel.
When the homebrew tries to return, however it was instead launched by a wad, it cannot return and hence code dumps.
Try my wad or inject my dol into the existing channel (you can find various tutorials on how to do this here, it is easy)

EDIT:

Can someone please do me a favour and test this eject and power off (to standby) version? I'm not sure if i did it right

Ill do it for you as soon that my first post is updated wiith the new EJECTDVD channel
EDIT:Now transfering the BOOT.DOL to my Wii Using FTPii

Do you mean that you won't make a channel, or that making a channel with it doesn't work?

(i hope the first lol, i'm happy to make my own channel

)

Thanks so much for testing BTW! (I can't use my wii till tomorrow, due to someone sleeping in that room lol)

the 1st one lol

EDIT 450th POST

I'll keep both versions on my wii.

1. eject and reboot to system menu - good for game swapping
2. eject and power off - good for finishing up your wii session

the reason why you get bad the wad error is to do with something in Widows effecting the packing somewhere something goes adrift what exactly i dont know but it is not a WADder issue or and issue with the tools posted in the original tutorial by Deba. and lol it took a dumbass like me to find a workaround
tongue.gif
. what we need to do is find what actually causes this to happen i have done hijackthis logs on both accounts and found one difference but that is on the old WADder site so i cant access it. if anyone more techy can take a look into this we may find a better fix like deleting a simple registry entry.

How about a mplayer dvdlib edition that doesnt screen dump...as all the ones ive tried screen dump when in a wad!
download the link to mplayerDVD check how to compile it, it says wha you need to either install or get hold of, modify it to restart not to return to loader, like it's coded to do.....
or you can add auto chain detection, therefore will return or restart depending on what you are using either HBC or system channel....
Seems like a bastard to get to compile though even with correct files, someone else want to try?
I don't use it mind, but would prove me that i was compiling it wrong hehe

I could make such a channel but it probsbly would end in a screendump since i cant code Wii language(C++)

I wouldn't know i only edit a few things in the source, usually exit editing....
if i can normally compile a app correctly, if i need to i will only modify with auto chain or restart..
some sources require allot of libs etc and still don't compile for some people...with me its more of look as to what will compile.. maybe it's me but iv'e only touched a few..
So by no means am i a coder at all, I'm a producer yeah, hopefully some day become a Big Producer!

ehm...tht made me confused

basically WADder uses the same tools as the banner editing tut all it does it automate the process.
-=4100 is the bad wad error the reason its bad is windows screws it up.
a fresh install or account fixes the issue on the same pc so it must be something in that account that causes the problem.
ive tried a log with Hijackthis on both accounts the one with the problem had a single extra entry in the log i assume this could be whats screwing with.

With all the tech's on here it took a dumbass like me to figure a workaround (new account) we really could do with someone that knows what they are looking at to find the cause and a fix so new accounts are not neeeded.

hope thats clearer i kinda get over excited when i type
