I know shinyquagsire is interested in making saltySD for switch for smash. Pretty sure that's the same concept.
Don't think it will be a simple port job from wii u or 3ds, will likely require an entire rewrite.

im not too familiar with the process but ive seen new stuff like python support so im hoping for the best
