Hey. I wasn't trying to be mean and sorry@Drako

Hey man, I wasn't trying to be mean. Sorry if I did, but I don't want people making an entire thread to something that should be really simple. And sorry @Drak0rex for coming off as mean
Im glad you apologized while all @arse could do was show that hes an even bigger butt than i thought lol

I think you're the one who should be saying bye.

No one is going to help someone with the attitude you've provided. You have shown less initiative in actually understanding basic concepts than most of the kids I teach in my primary school class.

You've also insulted and burned the key players in this forum INCLUDING one of the main developers behind retroarch itself. Unbelievable.

Wow you teach? Thats amazing dude!

Only part time, I have a job in the IT department and I work alongside kids in those lessons.

And they show a million times more initiative and willingness to learn than the OP has ever done so far in this forum.

Back in the 80s we had command based computers such as the Sinclair and BBC Micro as standard in our schools. We managed. We were kids, back in 1985, typing commands in a text based interface to load games and software. And we managed.

And you turn my nice complement into an insult against one of our fellow members...
Just let it go man....

Well, obviously he's not a very good one.

Student: I'm having trouble putting a cube root into my calculator
arse: You stupid fuck, it's this button right here!
omg U guys are mean. Can we just forgive him and move on? Dont lower yourself to his level man....

Finding out information for yourself rather than being spoonfed it directly does not take a genius to carry out, especially when the links I have given you supply all the information you need.

You made a ridiculous passive aggressive post and copypasted an entire article about shaders with a snarky response. Guess what? Shaders aren't featured in Retroarch 3DS.

Look at the menu on your 3DS. Literally all you need to give a shit about are these options:

1. Load content
2. Visual options (just check what aspect ratio you want, really)
3. Turn rewind OFF.

That's it. That is literally all you need to do to get up and running with games. If you want to know about other features, such as remapping, look on the wiki for it or ask on the libretro forums. Also, the first page of the retroarch forum on this thread is a guide in and of itself. I doubt you've even bothered reading it.

But of course, you're going to disregard this and reply with OH BUT ITS TOO HARD!!

A lamens term of RetroArch. A thingy that uses cores that emulates different consoles. Most of them suck on O3DS but they're getting there. Here is the thread where there the all of the different RetroArchs for different systems are being updated every night. As how to load roms (assuming you already have RetroArch installed) open retroarch click load content>select file>SDcard>*folderwhereyoukeepyourROMS>*Nameoftheromyouwanttoload

While this thread is near the front.

What settings are recommended that we do not touch whatsoever?

:O Wait until you read all the other scary formats the program supports!

edit: To be more serious:

If you don't understand that, you don't NEED to. If you don't have an interest in shader programming, the shader programming section isn't relevant.

It's really bad for you to get this worked up because you don't understand how a program works.
