hi people! i buy from china a replament connector, because one ps vita fat i own have a faulty usb port, then i was to a center for telephone reparation to ask they to replace it.

they told me is missing the new connector, 2 pin and they cannot do it, will not work.

i was sure is normal because in photo most of seller have connector missing 2 pins.

so my question is:

will work with 2 pin missing, or the new connector is really faulty?

someone with experience in this kind of repair can help me please?

well i dont have any experience, i dont know to solder and to test it!

i was sure if i go to a service with a new connector they will do this for me!

anyway there are a lot of photo with this same 2 pin missing on chinese website, and good reviews, so i guess is probable this 2 pin dont really needed for the replacement usb port to work...

if your schematic list is read from left to right, both the missing pin are GND pin, i think.

i will try to go to a service specialized in console, this one was specialized in phones.

Maybe ask @Modificatorul about the soldering, as he does really good repairs, fine solderings...
and ofc he should be located in the same country as you...

Edit: Forget something.. I bet you're right and the missing pins are not needed at all.

Thanks for recomendation.

One pin is 100 % gnd and the second mising pin go to a via in the pinout picture probably another ground, i don't have a vita to compare.

So i will say usb data comunication, charghing and so on will work with the port you bought.

Edit both pins,16,19 are gnd .
