Hardware Replace touch screen 3DS?

My friends daughter used a bobby pin as a stylus on her 3DS, and scratched the hell out of her screen.

I tried every method I could find to get rid of the scratches, but they are just to deep and bad.

Can you replace just the top cover of the bottom touch screen are do you have to place the whole thing?

Assuming it's still in warranty, get a repair in place for it.

Not sure about the touch screen, but the top screen is. When my top screen was scratched by the bottom screen, I was able to send it in for warranty repair.

That's different, that can be classed as a defect in the product. The touch screen getting scratched because it's been hacked away at is most definitely wear and tear and not covered under warranty.
