Hardware Replace stock internal 2.5 ssd?

Hello all...

I am officially the proud owner of a PS5 as of yesterday.
I looked up and down this PS5 forum and could not find the answer so I went ahead and decided to make this thread.

So with that out of the way, I was wondering if I could replace the stock internal 2.5 ssd with a bigger one?
I have a 2tb WD Blue laying around and was just curious.

I just found out that internal stock ssd is actually made into the board as a chip.
So I found the answer to my own question.

2.5? You mean like 2.5 inch SATA? iirc the PS5 uses an NVMe. I think you can just add one for more storage now.

The only thing the 2.5 WD Blue can be used for is an external USB drive to run PS4 games, or store (but not play) PS5 games.
