Has anyone replaced the OLED eMMC with a smaller one? I have an OLED with a bad Nand and wondering if I can replace with a 32 gb one. My understanding is just the user partition will be smaller. I've seen others upgrading to bigger nands but no one going smaller lol.

This OLED has the slow eMMC mode error and I can't back up GPP. Was able to back up boot0/1 successfully.

TIA

Yes it's possible.
It would also work with an 8gb emmc.
But try to dump the prodinfo portions with nxnand manager and hekate emmc mount.
Thanks for the reply!
Unfortunately, I got an error when trying to dump prodinfo. This pretty much means I need to use Level 3 unbrick procedures? Meaning the switch will not be able to go online correct?

Rebuilded nand won't be able to go online.

Yes then you need to use level 3 and you are unable to go online.

This is so much work.

Samsung is releasing a micro SD with 800mb/s speed.

Just wait for that.
Did you collect information about this SD card to verify it's working on switch?
I don't think so, otherwise you wouldn't have written this post.

Ok thanks for the confirmation.
In the sthetix level 3 video, he doesn't restore boot0/1, do you know why not? I would think I'd need to restore boot0/1 in my case?

It's long ago since I did this, maybe someone other has more actual knowledge about the nand rebuild process.
