Hacking RePatch not working on 3.68

Hi,

i have followed the instructions to install the rePatch plugin, and many alternatives, spent hours trying to get this to work.

Added plugin file to tai folder on ux0(I'm using official don't memory card only) and added to the config file also.

Added rePatch folder to ux0 root and added the patch files as suggested (gameid) but the two games I'm trying to patch, neither will apply the English translation. (Phantasy Star nova and phantasy Star online 2 manual patch)

Anyone on 3.68 can help me with how they got theirs working other than following the main instructive on github?
I have also tried autoplugin to no avail

The RePatch plugin works on 3.68.

Can you post your tai config file?
Have you put the plugin in the correct folder? ur0, ux0?

Change your config.txt to ur0:tai (along with the respective locations for the plugins in it).
NoNpDrm, SD2Vita, rePatch, vitacheat, Pngshot, etc., work without problems from ur0:tai. There's no reason to use ux0:tai for your config.txt and plugins even if you aren't using SD2Vita (which still requires ux0: as the location for Vita games, forcing you to use ur0: to load the plugins).

Phantasy Star Nova works without problems, too.

Probably caused by having a config.txt on both ur0:tai and ux0:tai.
The plugin works on ur0:tai, and if you are using SD2Vita you need it there anyway if you want to run Vita games, as they require to be on ux0: to run (which is not the case for PSP games with Adrenaline or emulators, for example).

Probably caused by having a config.txt on both ur0:tai and ux0:tai.
The plugin works on ur0:tai, and if you are using SD2Vita you need it there anyway if you want to run Vita games, as they require to be on ux0: to run (which is not the case for PSP games with Adrenaline or emulators, for example).

Edited as you suggested, config only in ur0 and not in ux0. Runs the game correctly but does not apply the patch.

@Mtrj1776 Use spoilers for your pics.

After doing all of this, have you rebooted your Vita? If not, you should. The changes are seen after rebooting, be it for rePatch and/or any kernel plugin.

If you did and it still doesn't work, download rePatch AIDS. Install the .vpk, and run it. This will "merge" everything you may have in the rePatch and reAddcont folders. Reboot and try running the game again.

As you show in your images (where I see you even fixed the ur0:/tai typo with the / at the start), you have the same config as me, so it should work.

And that's all. The only thing that comes to mind as to why it isn't working for you is that maybe you are using a Maidump version of the game (which I've read has caused some problems, like crashes, even without patch). The rePatch plugins makes the english patch work on all dumped versions (Mai, NoNpDrm, etc.), yes, but some some dumps are really bad and don't work correctly. If this is the case, you should download the NPS Browser version o the game (which is the original encrypted .pkg from Sony servers).

I didn’t read the whole thread so I don’t know all your issues, but I looked at your config in your latest screenshot batches.

The reason repatch isn’t working for you because you’re not being careful with the line you wrote.

You wrote:
ur0:/tai/
It should be:
ur0:tai/

The reason repatch isn’t working for you because you’re not being careful with the line you wrote.

You wrote:

It should be:

He fixed that in the next picture.

I know this post is a little old, but I am having a similar issue with repatch on my 3.65 vita. Same problem (Have a game, tryimg to get the english patch to work using repatch, etc.).

ok it looks like your plugins are setup correctly (missing ref00d though), which game are you trying to play?

Do I need reFood to access the rePatch function? I can get it from auto plug if need be. I'm trying to play the 30th anniversary edition of fortune street (Itadaki street) to the vita, and patch it using the english translation. I the dump of the game from pkgj, and put the id patch folder in the rePatch folder. The game plays fine, but doesn't apply the patch.

Yeah, that's the one. And I put the translation patch in the folder with that TitleId into rePatch. The game will boot, but it won't read the file. I'm not sure what issues are stopping it from reading.
