I installed the Homebrew Channel a few months ago to fool around with the savegame extractor and such. Now my Brawl disk has stopped working, and I'm almost positive it's that whole laser/disk/smoking issue. I called up Nintendo and they want me to send in my system and my disc to try and recreate the issue and diagnose the problem.
Obviously I don't want them to know I'm using the Homebrew Channel, so how would I go about removing it? I've read that if you simply delete it from the data management screen, it still leaves logs and traces and crap. Is there any way that I can completely remove any trace of the HBC on my Wii? If I do, (hopefully after my problem is solved) will I be able to reinstall it using the twilight hack? Or has some firmware update rendered it unusable?
