I've looked around but could not find a definite answer on how to do this. My friend and I worked together to beat Mario Kart: Wii. The save is on one console, though. I extracted the save from my Wii but before I install it on his, how do I remove the friend code? I've played online a few times on my console, and he plans to do the same. Will the game just generate a new one?

It's possible with a hex editor, if you can figure out the encoding.

Your best bet is to generate two saves, one from each console, with the same relevant data on it(make the save name the same, and make sure it's at least 10 characters so it's obvious).

Then, just do a byte for byte comparison.

WinMerge is perfect for this.
