Hardware Remove "Ready to start system update" at the boot?

Hello there,
I have a 3DS XL and while fooling around I enabled the wifi for a while and now I get this update screen at every boot. Any way of getting rid of it? I'm afraid I'll accidentally press it and bye Gateway

You can also run the gateway exploit and it'll stop the nag screen.

Also apparently the file that the Gateway DS prepcart runs gets rid of the update popup. (ninja'd by Snailface)

also if you accidentally press accept, another prompt asking you to agree pops up

So formating SD card is ok? I thought it might corrupt something if all data from the card is wiped

I think I've found the solution. Turn on the wireless switch. Put your 3DS in sleep mode. Keep it on sleep mode for 5-10 seconds so that it can start downloading (and deleting the previous update.) Then open your 3DS and turn off the wireless switch. There you go! It deleted the previous update and started downloading the new one and you turned the wireless switch off while it was downloading the new update thus making it stop dead in it's tracks. Congratulations, your 3DS will now stop it's bitching.

A good way to test if it is ok, just remove the SD card from the system and see what happen / if it will stop the update message from poping up (I tried this on my 3DS and I had no errors but note I no not get update pop ups, so I don't know if it will stop update message), obviously if you format the card you will loss eshop games, if you have any downloaded. As far as I am aware,

Formatting the SD should not damage the system, it is only missing all the games and applications that are on the SD card then. Oh and if you format your SD card without making some backups you will of course lose all saves from your download titles (except DSiWare perhaps, don't know where that saves). The saves of you cartridge games should all be okay, you'll just have to re-download the DLC for them.

Yeah, thought of that too after I posted.
So perhaps simply sort out which is which on the SD card and delete the update.

You can download the files here: http://www.gateway-3ds.com/downloads.html
But you will need a flashcard that work's on 4.5.0-10E fimware (if you have that firmware, your good to go), to install the exploit.
If you want to check your firmware, simply go to settings and look at the numbers and letters displayed in the bottom right corner of the upper screen.

You don't have to format the whole SD card, just delete the EXTDATA folder, or at least it worked for me. Though, I would suggest backing it up first.

Delete the update / format the SD. As long as it's there, the 3DS will ask you.

Where can I find the update, and also, will the 3DS redownload it again in a few weeks asking to update again?

An above poster says it's the EXTDATA folder.

If you let the 3DS have an internet connection, it'll do it's damndest to update.
