Hacking Remote Start PS3 over internet (via PC)

Does anyone know a way I could remotely start my PS3 over the internet using a PC? Not wanting to do this via PSP or Vita.

I basically want to be able to turn it on so I can FTP into it from another location and turn it back off when finished.

you could use the wol feature but I don't see how you could start the ftp server on your ps3 from your pc.

an other idea I could think of would be to use gimx + a bluetooth dongle

but if you want to do it easily, you're gonna need a video capture card to see what's happening on your ps3+ a very good internet connection
or you can memorize your key press.

Have you tried the hack to use remote play on a PC? I assume that will get your system turned on if you have remote start enabled in the PS3's remote play settings. Then it would just be down to whether or not you have an FTP program that runs via remote play.

I am thinking "Open Remote Play" might work, however I cannot get the source to compile on Mac. The only pre-compiled executables I can find online are for older versions before remote start was implemented. Arg!
