Every outfit change is enough to cause a rage in most communities, especially when it involves covering butts or cleavages. But besides that, the worst point is that they removed some story parts (the "bad endings" in some sidequests) and that´s what most are raging about.

Probably doesn't help much if the blog reporter and/or editor is a Weeaboo, either

Oh, right, is that it? Thank you! But i wonder what caused all the outrage on gaming blogs about the western releases being censored compared to the japan version? I literally can't tell the difference, lol.

The Indian to cowboy difference was pretty terrible, and no good explanation for the change, leaving people to think that the translators are either offended by natives or think every one in North America is.

What kind of problems do you have?
You can't really say is anyone else having problems and not giving any proper detail or information about it. It's too vague.

Sorry you are right

-Magnolias models all changed (From what I can gather)
-Hawkeye models have been changed to tomahawk for all 4 characters

However Edea still has all of her base models, ranger is EU, Black mage is EU, Summoner is EU, etc

Not lots of things changed.

If you have Summoner, look at Magnolia and if you can see her cleavage, it's uncensored. Or the Hawkeye job will be an Indian, not a Cowboy. Most things that are notably changed are bonus costumes.

Wow, the amount of "cleavage" and "crotch shadow" changed is ridiculous. Did Nintendo really think we would be worse people if we looked at Chibi Magnolia boobs/crotch?

A request please for anybody reading this, if you have unlocked a large amount of jobs can you please upload your save because im trying to troubleshoot my problem. I've used 3 from a few pages back but sadly they are all at the start of the game and don't have the ones I need for troubleshooting. The file is "BD2GAME0.sav" or the savedatafiler folder will also be helpful.

So in a follow-up in my previous post, I have just stumbled upon which (At least I think) shows the japanese models of all BS:EL jobs. If this is the case then the pastebin:

Is incorrect because almost all over the models in the video contradict the models reported in the pastebin for Edea. It just looks like they've copied the changelog from magnolia and pasted it for Edea too.

I'm playing Asia81's usa CIA version of Bravely Default (I'm still on the first one), and in my NG+ game the game is consistently crashing when trying to exit Florem. I tried with an untouched file and a file I used the hex editor to add the costumes: BOTH still crash. Also crashes when trying to make a New Game+ from either file. Gave this thread a skim and it doesn't seem anybody is having this issue?

O3DS, RXtools, 10.7, USA.

Don't know if adding my saves would help. These are just what the save manager dumped, I don't know if they are decrypted or not:

Okay, I've figured out the problem. Heal is already in the Inventory when it shouldn't be and when Nikolai joins up the spell is not unlocking properly because of this. I will have to redo the whole thing from scratch to fix this.

Oh, uh, anyone else also missing Blessing? I just got to the town where you can buy lv3 magic, but I somehow already owned one, so I couldn't buy it "again" yet it's not in my list. The other spells show up fine, including the lv3 Bishop spell Vivify, just not Blessing.

And yeah, I did grab a save with the costumes unlocked early.

Wait, ALL of them? Like, even Hawkeye? I'm using the patched .cia, and the Bravo Bunny is definitely the correct model. I don't have Black Mage, Monk, Ranger, Summoner, or Performer, which should be the most obvious going by the pastebin.

Is there anything else you've noticed on a job that wasn't listed that is censored in your game?

Edit: Just got Summoner, and it's definitely the uncensored JP model for Edea, which is what I remember from Bravely Default. Kinda funny that they touched up something that was totally fine in the prequel.

Here's the EU version of every job (Summoner at 8m50s):


That little green patch on her chest was never there before. Notice only Magnolia gets the added shadow, which is mentioned on her entry in the pastebin but not for Edea. Also watching the videos, Edea's Black Mage outfit never had any cleavage nor a short skirt, but both her and Magnolia lose their garter belts. This is properly reflected in the pastebin.

Seems like your uncensored .cia misses some outfits.

Probably most easily fixed by copying the models for all jobs into the EU version and then going from there. Also for Aimee in the Journal.

Personally, I'd leave cowboy in though, but that's my taste.
