You probably need to unpack the rpx and disassemble the binary, at least to find were it lhe url from; interesting discussion with useful links: https://gbatemp.net/threads/smash-wii-u-rpx-editing.438367/

I don't think it has anything to do with the rpx file, changing the manual.bfsm loads to Xenoblade Chronicles, even though the base game is rhythm haven feaver

I have tried incessantly to figure out a way to remove the option to enter in the manual of a WiiVC game. I browsed all the files and compared to others, but it seems that it is not possible to remove this option, as if it were attached to the Wii U main system.

However, I could change hexadecimal values in the meta.xml, so you can access any manual as long as it has its digital version hosted on the Nintendo server.

--
The manual is accessed through hexadecimal values in the reserved_flag2 field of meta.xml:

<reserved_flag2 type="hexBinary" length="4">53583445</reserved_flag2>

53 58 34 45 = SX4E

RVLP SX4E USZ (Xenoblade Chronicles ~ Wii)

When I deleted the hexadecimal values of this field + reserved_flag1, the system could not access any manual, only showing the url where the manuals would be hosted if they existed with their respective IDs:

m1.nintendo.net/docvc/RVL/USA//_P.pdf

I'm still trying to figure out if there's a way to change the url completely, but it seems to be the most that can be modified, may be something pre-built in the system.

I hope this information is of some help.
It needs to be quoted @wicksand420 @KhaderWelaye

So let me see if I understand this. I can inject a GC game into WiiU installable and play it on my gamepad, OR I can (experimentally) install nintendont as wiiu installable with gamepad patches and use that to select games off external drive? (as long as installed to nand, etc)? Or do I have this wrong?

you can play the injected gamecube game from wii u usb but the forwarder reads games from sd

Ok let me rephrase. I can either install a single gamecube game on my Wii U as a Wii U VC title with gamepad support, or I can trucha sign patch and install Nitendont with gamepad patches to NAND and just run that and any gamecube game off my SD card off my gamepad? Either or?

you can make the gamecube game like a vc game, or make a forwarder channel that boots nintendont from the wii u home menu and reads your games from sd, both have gamepad support

Okay, so I'm guessing this is why gamecube games are showing up in Wii U USB Helper. How stable is the sign patching and injecting into NAND? I mean, why would I install one or two GC games as VC when I can just set up nintendont with gamepad patches and play any GC game?

edit: thank you wicksand420 for clarification.

i just use a forwarder channel because it takes up less space on my wii u and if i want to play different games, i can just delete some from sd and add more

its also very stable, i havent had any problems with it yet
