DISCLAIMER: I'm not the creator of this emulator, all credits goes to libRetro team ( http://www.libretro.com/ ). I just compiler latest commit of their Github repository.

Here you can find some Retroarch build with ported libretro cores:

14/04/15: [MD/SG/SMS/GG/MDCD] Retroarch Genesis Plus GX v.1.7.4 (3DSX): http://rinnegatamante.netsons.org/retroarch_genesis.rar
14/04/15: [GBA] Retroarch gPSP 0.9.1 (3DSX): http://rinnegatamante.netsons.org/retroarch_gpsp.rar
14/04/15: [GBC] Retroarch Gambatte 0.5.0 (3DS, CIA, 3DSX): http://rinnegatamante.netsons.org/retroarch_gambatte.rar

NOTE: gPSP and Genesis Plus GX [if you want to start MegaDrive CD titles] require BIOS file.

I suggest to disable Audio from Driver and Audio options cause it seems to make unstable emulator causing random freezes.

Running either GB or GBA (3dsx) crashed to the home menu and asked to restart the system. Might be a success rate thing on this one.

For my tests, gPSP always crashes, Genesis freezes with Mickey Mouse Timeless Adventures and Contra and Dragon Ball Z Legendary Superwarriors runs fullspeed with Gambatte.
All tests done with audio disabled.

I found out what was making the 3dsx crash:

When it initializes, it gets stuck parsing the retroarch.cfg in sdmc:retroarch/. Since there is no cfg to be found, the emulators crash.

That's weird. I'll keep checking.

EDIT: Disregard my posts. Not working on N3DS, but it does work on O3DS

Maybe make a folder for the 3DSX version...? I made my own and put it in, but it wont show up in the homebrew launcher.

I said this on the other thread but it seems like the new one made it invisible:
gpsp crashes because it is missing the bios, you need to save it as sdmc:/retroarch/cores/system/gba_bios.bin

also disable vsync, since it runs under 60fps and vsync will only hurt it more.
