Can anyone recommend me some themes that are not trash? Like all the text is easily readable and/or the theme is minamalistic.

Solved on discord. Layered fs breaks on latest atmosphere if you use the custom kip needed for incognito
i am on ams 9.0.3 ofw 8.1.0 and i have installed incognito yet using reinx to install it, the issue is solved with the yesterday update? or i have to keep back reinx and reverse the incognito mode to install themes?

Incognito doesn't break themes, it's just that newest atmosphere doesn't like the custom layeredfs kip it requires, once you installed incognito delete the kip and you can have both.

Can i spontaneously install over my current theme, or do i need to uninstall the current theme then switch? Is it possible to switch themes on demand? ( like witha push of a button). When i install a theme the app menu button doesnt come up , hope you could help with that also

With the latest update do you still need to delete the /titles/0100000000001000 and /titles/0100000000000811 folders to prevent crashes with sxos?
That's where themes are installed to, you have to remove them before upgrading/downgrading firmware or if the console crashes on boot. Before changing firmware you can also just uninstall the theme from the installer

Yes you can. Switching a theme requires the home menu to reload so for now the only way is to reboot the console.
The all apps button appears only if you have 13 titles installed iirc. Some themes may hide the last titles so you may not be able to launch them till you unlock it

So I installed a theme, I see it on the home menu but I can’t load the homebrew menu now? My switch’s firmware is 9.0.1, when I restart it with the payload everything works fine again, but it happens every time the theme is installed that I can’t open up the homewbrew menu, needing serious assistance here

CFW ? What do you mean you can't open the home menu ? Like it crashes, or is the icon missing or something else ?

So if you wanted to dump qlaunchto look through it you could use one of the older versions of this to do so?

No, if you press L + R when extracting qlaunch from the main menu it will extract the full NCA, otherwise it will only get the lyt folder (which is where most of the layouts are anyway).
If you need the exefs or the rest of the romfs you need the nca, note that you'll have to manually decrypt and extract it with hactool.
