I actually happen to use that specific layout for all of my themes and have never encountered that issue, though I can clearly see that the allapps button is not there.

This is probably irrelevant, but how many titles do you have installed? I know that the button only appears if you have more than x amount of titles installed on the switch. I think it's 8 titles but I'm not sure.

Otherwise, what Firmware and which version of Atmosphere are you running?

actually, i have 9 titles there :), and yes, the allapp button didn't show up
i'm on 10.1.0 Fw with SXOS 3.0.4

I just did a quick google search to double-check and it turns out that it's actually atleast 13 installed titles.

So If you only have 9 titles, that's why the button won't show, it's not an issue with the theme.

Hi, is there a way to preview the theme with the image I have choose ? Because it don't show me what i'm supposed to see and I don't have an hacked switch yet so I would be happy if there is a way to check the complete preview

the preview is only to see the layout you have chosen to build the theme

I love how all the groundwork for new themes is there on vanilla switch with the themes menu as if Nintendo was either planning on giving more or just throwing a bone to modders who want to make themes.

Hey
So I have updated my switch to the latest, 14.1.1, and every time I try to launch NXThemes, I get told that it needs to extract a new copy of the home menu, as the firmware has changed, but when I try to do this, NXthemes just exits to the menu and next time I start the app, it still tells me that it needs to extract the menu, and the same thing happens...

I am using the latest version, 2.7, which should have support for 14.1.1. What's going on?

Is there a GUI you can use to customize Themes? like move Games and icons around without having to learn the coding of the Json?

So I don't know if this is even still being worked on, but I stopped using this quite a while ago, in part because I am sick of having to re-create my themes every time I install a new Switch Firmware update. I have alot of old themes I want to use again and was wondering if it would be possible to create a feature that would allow us to update existing theme files?

It is really strange because i am using my pwn theme for 5 years and i do not need to update my themes. I was using this from fw 12 to fw 19

I could swear my themes stopped working every time I had to update my FW...

But now that you are mentioning it, it's also been a very long time since I tested this, because when I upgraded to FW 14.1.1 a long time ago, NXThemes stopped working and at the time no new version that supported that FW had been released, so I simply gave up on themes.

Just yesterday, I updated the nro to the latest version but forgot I need to manually DL some patches to get it working. Once I do get it working (I hope), I'll re-test some of the themes to see what happens. But again, I could swear I've had to update them every time because otherwise they just didn't work.

themes don't work that way. the .nxtheme format is just instructions on how to patch the menu, as long as the nintendo layout doesnt change significantly then the theme doesnt need to be remade

it just needs to be re-applied after most updates, because the contents of qlaunch (home menu) arent the same between versions and there can be mismatches, which would cause it to crash

you dont need to remake your theme, just delete it before update and re-apply after update

simpler themes dont need to be reapplied between firmware updates also, I havent needed to delete and reapply mine in a long time. but all I do is hide news from lock screen and center the icon, and remove online + news + eshop applet buttons on home screen

Can someone please make me a v19.0.01 default flaunch with the store button missing from the all apps page?
I have been trying for 2 days now and I cant seem to get the button removed.
Or can somebody tell me how to do it?

New version released

Version 4.8.0 released with compatibility to FW 20

https://github.com/exelix11/SwitchThemeInjector/releases

If you want to know more about the breaking changes introducing on the FW 20 about the themes you must read the Wiki https://github.com/exelix11/SwitchThemeInjector/wiki/Breaking-changes-with-firmware-20.0

Any old theme when installed is tried to make compatible at the fly on installation, but some themes need to be released with new versions supporting the new scheme.

Thanks a lot to @exelix11 for all the great work.
