Sure, it's not free. But at least 10 times cheaper that the cheapest NFC-enabled Android phone.
oh yes, you are right, really worth a look ! idk why I thought arduino where more overpriced here than what actually are õ3o
but still would be nice if I could use something I already have like the N3ds :x

I install tagmo, run it, load both keys, press scan tag and app close itself...
What I'm doing wrong?

I have a similar issue to the above. I tap on Write Tag Auto and after holding the phone to the tag, it makes a noise to acknowledge the tag and then gives a Message that TagMo has stopped and closes without actually writing the tag.

Not sure if you've read any of the other pages in this thread, but someone explained in detail why this could be happening and uploaded a modified version that seems to work for some users (including me!).

This was originally posted on page 3 (I think), then I relinked it again, on page 4 (I think), have you tried that file?

I did, thank you. It was even worse actually, that modified version crashes as soon as I open it, never even get to the main menu.

No worries, beyond that I didn't have anything else to suggest. I hope someone else can find help you get it working!

Thanks, I got it. This fork did the trick for me: https://github.com/possi/TagMo/releases/tag/2.3.4-tp
For me it still close...

Edit5: After hours of debugging I found out (thanks to a lot of googling) that adding android:launchMode="singleTask" to the activity in AndroidManifest.xml makes onNewIntent actually trigger. Got it to work now :D

Anyone else having issues can try this APK: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/8225581/app-fat-armeabi-v7a-debug.apk
Thanks! Nice guy!
Now it scans my n2elite, then looks like it works with Samsung GS4.
Maybe later would buy clean tags and would make cards.
Because switch all amiibos with button or unpack amiibo figures is real pain. (Love them)
Strange that official n2e app don't scan device tag, and alternative app amiibitz works (but with errors, tag need to be scanned again)

Hi I'm using one of the forks someone made of Tagmo and I can't get it to write the data. Everytime I try it say "Error while writing main data (stage 1) java.io.IOException: Transceive failed". Any ideas?

So this one finally works.

But I noticed on my Nexus 7 when I do Scan Tag on an amiibo, nothing changes.

I can write fine, but I can no longer read/dump. 2.3.3 can scan, but not read/dump. Which is weird.

2.3.2 has the most functionality, where I can do both. When I scan the Wolf Link Amiibo, it calls it "Midna". When I use 2.3.3 it calls it "Wolf Link", but crashes upon writing.

I also cannot scan tag. Maybe it's an incompatibility with our NFC chipset or Android OS versions.

It works on an s2 with Cyanogenmod. What is its your Nexus running?

It works fine on my S6 with stock latest that Three UK supports (6.0.1 with kernel 3.10.61-9308498)

I use this Nexus:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nexus_7_(2013)

It's been forever, but I used something called TWRP to root it. If that's what I did. I only did it to get the auto-hide soft keys to work lol.

It's horribly out of date. The OS is telling me to update to 4.4. Isn't the OS on 6.0.0 now?

Just for background info. I followed this guide from ages ago:

Just want to report some issues I encountered:
Device: LG G2 @ 5.0.2

2.3.4: crash on "scan tag" and "write tag"

2.3.3: crash on "scan tag" and "write tag"

2.3.2: crash on "scan tag" and "write tag"

2.3.1: writes and scans perfectly. :D

Give updating a shot. You might just need an Xpose framework to do the auto hiding thing. Not sure what the block worried be though.
