So v8 hotfix 2 is all good?
There's still some bugs, like these:
I found that enabling the SGI and tree models and disabling Dist. Clip (which is basically disabling extended draw distance) helps a lot for performance.

I found 3 issues so far:
  1. Mario's "M" texture in his hat with SGI is broken
  2. All 3D modelled coins have some sort of dull lighting to them, they don't shine.
  3. The tree 3D models look too bright when enabled. Like the shading is not working on them.

There's also another issue with the Bob-Omb textures showing up improperly with SGI, like with a black line that splits the texture down the middle of the Bob-Omb 3D model.

All of these texture packs look like my morning shit

hahah

personally I love the textures of Hypotia. That paper look feel very good to me. But is not the most popular.

This is an overview for spanish translation:

I agree, I think they look fantastic. I played a few levels with Hypotia and then switched to SGI. Now that I've experienced the super hi-def of SGI I can't go back though haha. Everything is just so shiny!

Just wondering if the Z trigger (crouch etc) can be remapped to the switch's ZR? I've tried in the menu, but nothing happens

So from what I understand, you can't rebind the triggers because they are analog. That being said, there should at least be a config file that be edited so that you can set the bindings manually.

Hello, I read the thread a bit and saw that people were having the same problem as me..I installed SM64 v8 via Tinfoil but when I launch the game it says it's v7. I tried everything that you guys said but I'm having no luck. Can someone help me out?

Just delete v7, download v8 manually from the internet (it's less than 200 MB) and install it with any installer (Goldleaf, Awoo, whatever).

Another question:
It's awesome to have a real analog stick camera (instead of the stupid original one) but is there a way to decrease the speed of it?

How can I play this version without the new models?

I just love the old Mario 64 models, but the 60 FPS and free camera are impressive
