I swapped the contents of the folders model/fighter/donkey/body/c00 with the contents from model/fighter/ness/body/c00
and i also swapped the contents of model/fighter/donkey/body/h00 with the contents of model/fighter/donkey/body/h00

the c00 and h00 refer to which constume. ex: h01 and c01 refer to the second costume.

Sorry for bother you, but I'm kinda lost, Cia Files is like the rom of the DLC right? If I have one that it contains the models and animations inside them am I right? but how exactly can I extract them? is it difficult?, I really need Bayonetta model some guy on internet upload a folder with most of the fighters with animations, it is kinda cool to watch, sorry for my english
any tutorial online?

Ive got a SaltySD.cia but i dont know what to do with it lmao. Do i need to delete the 1.1.4 update then install it SaltySD? Have both installed? Do i need to make any extra directories on the SD card?

Uninstall the original 1.1.4 update, then install the SaltySD .cia using DevMenu or BigBlueMenu.

Ah.. i think i installed it with FBI lmao. Ill just test this now. But are directories and files generated automatically for me to modify, or do i need to make them myself?

if i remember correctly, you have to make the folders yourself. make a folder named saltysd, then make a folder in that folder named smash. put all your modified files in there, following dt's file structure (eg. if you made a ness edit for the standard color it should go to model/fighter/ness)

not sure though, since i can't use this because at this moment it only supports the USA version of smash bros.

Really? Im using EUR so i might as well stop once i got the folders and everything setup.

if your smash game is EUR it just won't work. trust me, i tried.
you could always try to 'acquire' an american copy of the game with an american 1.1.4 update, and use SaltySD with that until @shinyquagsire23 fixes it for EUR games.

i see... and since rxtools has just been updated for 10.5 (n3ds) AND its regionfree i might just have to find some cias.

Guess the model formats must vary pretty differently from fighters to assists to enemies, because interchanging them instantly snaps the game in two.

I opened mario's main.bch from the motion folder in HxD and changed all of the Mario's to luigi. I was not disappointed. It kind of worked, as the game loaded, but it still had luigi's hitbox placement, knockback, effects, etc. (which makes sense because i didn't alter any of the knockback, hitboxes, etc.). Just thought I'd share this.
 
wait really? well that's a bummer. That really puts a damper on my model swap shenanigans.

Elecman over Megaman, unlike the Wii U version, created a glitched mess that broke the game in seconds. Darknut over Roy snapped the game in two whilst trying to load.

It only works with the American version. I tried with the japanese and I get the same error
 
I made a little bash script that lets you copy all files of a certain extension to a new folder. Basically, this can be used if you want to make an un-dub of the game, or if you want to load all the .bin's from an older update. This may not have many practical uses, but I figured I would upload it regardless. Read the included README for instructions. If you have any questions just ask. Remember this is a BASH/Shell script, so you will need linux to run it.

Replace files or delete the folder and copy the other folder?
 
I'm new to this application, although I've had it downloaded for a while now..
What exactly can I edit in the game, using this?

I get some error messages when I try to open Main/GFX/SFX/Expression and when I try to save them. String formats and null objects. What am I doing wrong?
