Has anyone tried playing group smash with the modifications? I know a lot of you guys dont have N3ds's let alone 2 of them, but it would be useful to know.

I'm pretty sure it'd be similar to what happens when the protocol messes up and you get two different stages. They'll be perfectly fine at first, but as soon as the information from one contradicts the other it'll stop the game. So naturally any modified hitboxes, damages, etc would trigger this pretty quick. With stage oddities it only happened near the edges with most people iirc.

So, if both people had the same edit they would both be able to play the modded stage/characters together. If so, this is great news. I may ask my friend to borrow his N3ds to test with mine, but he doesnt have homebrew, and I think he might be on 10.3 what a skrub

I'm on 10.3, but I have homebrew, Smash and an N3DS. Is it possible to play these mods online?

It's not possible to play these mods online.. yet, as far as I know.

To those who were wondering, airdodge landing code is under LandingFallSpecial, always has been. The hash for it isn't present in game.bin, which is why I suggested adding it manually.

Hoooowever, because I'm probably a bit of a dumb-dumb about how the hashes work, I have no idea how to go about doing that, lmao.

Isn't there already a physical mod for the 3ds that lets you use a gamecube controller to control your 3ds?

Not everyone wants to deal with hardmods, though, being as they can in fact fuck you over for real if you screw something up.

Plus nobody's going to create a mod for 3ds that can hook it up to big screens for tournaments anytime soon, right?

..nor a way to run two controls off of one 3ds, right???

I see your point. But I just find the Idea of them playing off of a 3ds attached to a TV hilarious. I dont really think that PM4 will have a any tournament life on the 3ds. I think that it's main function would be playing with friends.

meanwhile i sit here on my birthday, torn between continuing to ask for a computer, getting a ps4 because my nine-year-old cousin who acts like they're six is here and multiplayer games would be nice, or a n3ds so i can actually do something with smash 4.

Go for a PC, and see if you can trade in your old 3ds for a >NEW< If multiplayer is important for your cousin, get a gamecube or xbox controller adapter for the pc. Laptops are also really easy to connect to a TV good to keep that in mind. You should choose a PC over PS4 beacuse the ps4 will always have a new console every few years, but you can always upgrade individual parts of your PC.

If thats the case, PS4 makes the most sense. I had no idea PC's didnt have split screen support for fps until now. I would say you could run dolphinemu on PC, but you already home-brewed your wii so there is no point in that. Suck that you cant build a PC tho, it usually provides for a cheaper/faster option.

i'm in the worst situation possible regarding a pc: a windows xp sack of trash that won't even run some things that _do_ work on xp. besides that, most games never allow split screen on pc - after all, it's friggin' PC, they're not meant to have more than one person

skullgirls runs like trash, terraria crashes at most major points, rivals of aether outright shatters as soon as you scroll over a CSS icon (which hurt, when I was accepted into the beta) and don't even get me started at 10fps melee

i gave up on the ps4 and decided to just grab ps3 destiny instead, a console upgrade is not something we have the funding for atm (and if I could, I'd get the PC with that kind of money)
