One think that makes me confusion, doesn't fw 6.72 has the same exploits as
7.02? Why shoudn't exploits from 7.02 work on 6.72, since they are the same exploits?

offsets are different, and I think it's a new webkit exploit anyway. plus, there are more challenges. failure with those leads to the exploit not work or a kp.

i am not active in the ps4 scene at all, but seeing the advancements in it are fucking incredible.

it has a steep learning curve if you want to make the most of the exploits beyond just playing games, and it can be frustrating at times with things like kernel panics, but it is getting better, I agree.

Tried leeful v6 host just replaced exploit code js from 7.02 just gave me same memory errors as it happens on most 7.02 hots

Hello super noob 6.72 user here!
Do I need to use 2.1.3 or 2.1.3b exploit? If a read correctly the only difference is some fix about the trophy issue, how I can know of I have this kind of issue in my regular ps4?

All ps4 with hen 2.1.3 have that issue if you achieve something it won't appear the date you did it, I prefer using the 2.1.3b because trophy issue works as it should, but it seems it has some issue with psx vr but then again I don't have it, so to me 2.1.3b is a win, win solution.

That’s what I’ve been learning for the past months with PS4 Hack, and needed, to fiddle with hack, on a “new console” for me.
Always love this very first moment when a hack starts and work, for the very first time on a “untouched” console, and what you can explore and do later...

Someone want to explain to me why to use the SelfHost Version? so I learn a little more :)

folks anyone tested Rest mode with this on a PS4 Pro?

Also would like to see success/failure stats....
Rest mode works perfect for me (7216b pro),

20 coldboots so far, 100% success, no KP,

Ps-phive cached on web browser, Hen 2.1.3b , all payloads used so far work flawlessly.

That's good news!
Looks like 6.72 is stable then, why are most guides suggesting to stick with 5.05
5.05 is always going to be more stable. The results of 6.72 are not conclusive across the board. Unfortunately everyone will get differing results, but Leefuls hosts are clearly the most stable out there.

For a exploit that's only 6 months old I'd say it pretty stable
If you compare 5.05 after the first six months of its release than 6.72 would be way better the simple fact is that 5.05 has had 2-3 years of development work done on it
If your on 5.05 stay on 5.05 and back port
If your on 6.72 use leeful ps phive and dont update to 7.02 as it really doesn't offer that much more and most 7.02 game work without back porting on 6.72 from what I've heard

I had yesterday night my first KP with ps-phive, booting with an external hdd plugged , forgot to unplug it before power on, and I think that was the cause of the KP. Clearly, need (at least for me), to boot without anything plugged on usb (at least an external extended storage).
The good thing is that nothing got corrupted after the “repairing external extended storage...bla..bla...bla...”.

Only issues I had was not the first stage of the exploit, meaning kernel exploit, but after that when loading hen 2.1.3b, but not the load itself but random force shutdown when installing games or running a game, but then again changing hen probably fixes it, we can't complaint, leeful has done an awesome job, if it isn't more stable is because is impossible.

I'm still on 5.05, but I've never personally encountered a crash while installing something. I haven't really played any games since I exploited the thing either, so I don't know about crashing while in game. that's something that worries me like if it crashed at a crucial moment like saving your game or something. I don't know if that can happen.

I got into the habbit of opening and then closing a game after HEN had loaded and if there were no KP then I never got a KP later on while using the PS4.
I started doing this on back on 505 and never had a mid game crash.
Back on 505 I would just re-open and close the browser after HEN had loaded and on the odd rare occasion it would KP meaning that the exploit obviosly had not worked correctly.

@Leeful , thanks. I'll have to remember that. I did put final fantasy vii on rest mode for about three days. it worked every day but the last, but I'm not sure if that was my shitty hdmi selector (using about 8 into the framemeister) which goes into my tv's 1 hdmi port. it could've been its issue. I didn't try connecting the ps4 to the tv directly after that, I just flipped the toggle switch for the ps4 to reset it. anyway, this sort of thing happens all the time with my setup due to cheap, Chinese garbage splitters for almost all devices. I've never personally seen it happen with the switch or the wii u though, so those hdmi cables from Nintendo might be quite high quality, so it could be the cables as well.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

my next tv will have at least 3 hdmi ports. I don't need component, since the framemeister can upconvert that for my ps2 or retro consoles. and, I no longer need vga, since my 15 year old desktop can no longer sign in to the internet. that's the only reason I bought the tv.
