Okay i'm still having the same problem i used devkitpro updater from some site. It installs and updates devkitpro but i still get the same results. Do i keep the files after install or delete after install. It gives me the option to do either one.

Check to see if the installation added the PATH in environment variables. If it didn't you need to add it manually. The default on windows I believe is C:/devkitpro

So what do I need to do to get this running the way that it should? I have devkitPro installed. I don't have my computer on me to test anything.

Basically that's it, then run the .exe and point it to the directory of your .txt files.

Yep windows 10.
Okay so you should be able to right click the start menu and choose "advanced system settings" (If not, you can load any random folder, right click "computer">Properties>Advanced system settings) From there you'll see "Environment Variables" at the bottom. Open that and you'll see a list of variables, click create new under the second field and name it accordingly while targeting the path you installed devkitpro in.

Where can I find .txt files for cheats?
Fort42. Granted if you want them fancy, with mark down menus, notes, more variables etc, you'll have to do some editing.

Examples of a new PATH:

c:\devkitPro\msys\bin;%INTEL_DEV_REDIST%redist\intel64\compiler;
C:\Python27\;
C:\Python27\Scripts;
C:\Program Files\ImageMagick-7.0.1-Q16;C:\ProgramData\Oracle\Java\javapath;
C:\Program Files\Nintendo\Nintendo Dev Interface

Okay i got to where you click new and i get variable name and variable value what do i do after that. Also i have a system variable named D/devkitpro

If you have more Devkit variables than that in the same field section than I'm not entirely sure how to fix your problem. Perhaps maybe try running the .exe from the same directory (D:/)?
