@MelonGx, I discussed with mid-kid, and we can try something: Setting the EmuNAND up as a RedNAND. Would your tester be willing to try this? If he is, I'll add that option to EmuNAND9 and give you a test build.

EmuNAND9 does it exactly like that now, but the problem with these special 2DS consoles seems different.
I honestly have no clue then, as that code works just fine with consoles with different NAND sizes...

@d0k3 He is ready now.

BTW, 0710 build Decrypt9 did dump 943MB NAND on that 2DS.
But this time the injected 943MB NAND on emuNAND caused black screen.

Thanks but that doesn't say much. We can boot a RedNAND like an emuNAND? We can play games on it? Are there any benefits? Is there something that can be done only through the RedNAND? (Not that I care, but I'm curious)
A RedNAND is completely the same as a GW EmuNAND, just with different internal formatting. These special 2DS consoles seem to have trouble with the standard GW type EmuNANDs, so that's a workaround.

Can't get bin file to boot running a9lh with arm9select. Black screen without text. Start = reboot still work. But can't see a thing.

Hello d0k3, you will make a official release with a9lh support? :D

THANKS

Did someone ask for a new release? Here it is.

New in this release:
  • Full A9LH compatibility (= no more black screem)
  • Writing RedNANDs is now possible - this is a possible workaround for those special 2DS consoles
  • EmuNAND Partitions are added to the MBR and can be handled via partition manager software. Thanks @duke_srg for that idea!
  • Updated starter.bin

Have fun!

O3DS XL 9.2

Today was the first time I used the EmuNAND9 (build 20160309), and that's what happened to me:

EmuNAND9 message:
"Cloning SysNAND to RedNAND (943MB)"

rxTools message:
"The emunand was not found on your SDCard."

I always used the gateway launcher and never had problems with creating emuNAND and rxTools.

What option did you choose to generate this?

EDIT: Nevermind, I found it. A RedNAND is a special type of formatting for EmuNAND, but will only work on Cakes afaik, btw.
