No idea. I mainly use reinand (it really makes no difference to cakes) but ds mode always worked for me. Started using it from the first day, when 10.3 emunand was first supported.

DS games only work on new3DS.

You've neglected to mention that you're using an old3DS, conversely @Shadowtrance and @wurstpistole have neglected to mention they're using new3DSes.

Mystery solved.

Hell, @mid-kid didn't even realise until very recently DS games worked under CakesFW because he only has an old3DS.

but it does not matter since you can just run nds games on sysnand

Yeah, haven't read that in awhile and probably would have ignored it anyways since I don't use DS mode on my 3ds... Still I probably should stop ignoring things in the FAQ because they can be useful for troubleshooting

Actually i have both n3ds and o3ds but the o3ds rarely gets used these days. I don't see how that would cause ds games to not work though (trying to use them on cakes + o3ds that is)...

Ah. Didn't know ds emunand only works on n3ds with Cakes. I thought it would also work on o3ds, as it does in rxtools I believe.

Need to clean up and fix up the reboot patches to reboot into DS mode properly, is all.

Can someone make a video on how to setup cakes I can see the launch from HBL but it keep having and error???
Is there a way to launch RXTOOLS from HBL i can not get the cold boot to work???

I retried with CakesFW 108.

My settings:
n3DS sysnand 9.2E
Emunand 10.5E
Linked nands

Patches:
Enable Emunand
Disable signature checks

Configuration:
Enable autoboot

It does not work... Just a black screen, I never reached the system menu. No problem with ReiNand... I don't understand what's happening.

I have the same issue after updating to 10.5. Can boot into Sysnand fine but if I try to boot to Cakes just black screen.
