Any ETA on Region Free? IMO that'd be a defining feature for Cakes.
Nice work by the way. Very nicely done.

Nope. No ETA. We don't have enough info about that yet to even start working on it.
It'll probably be a target after CIA installing is implemented.

Seems functionally equivalent to patched rxTools plus redNAND support for now, but that's not a bad thing. This definitely looks like a project to keep tabs on, especially once more "cakes"/patches are made. (network CIA installation to remove the need for Palantine/PBT/FBI injection? YES PLEASE. And GBA/DSiWare support, to name a few...) Modular patching that allows the community to create easily applied patches without reinventing the wheel is a great idea.

Versehell i have downloaded the firmkey on *snip* and keep the firmware.bin and slotkey of RX pasta and it work fine

"Emunand supports redNAND, toshiba and samsung GW emuNANDs."

so you have to have a toshiba or samsung SD card for GW emunand to work?

Where did you read SD card? Toshiba and Samsung are just two types of nand that you can find (two manufacturers), some console have Toshiba nands others have Samsung nands

i didn't i thats why i asked
just assumed since 3ds comes with toshiba card thats what it meant
i didn't know that there were different nand chips or that there was method to tell which one a 3ds has
so you say there are toshiba and samsung nand chips in 3ds but is that all or are there other ones too?
if thats all then it works on all 3ds consoles to date i assume
if not what are the others and how would you be able to tell which one you have?
but why even mention it if it works on all consoles anyway

It works on every old 3ds.

This project has me super excited! I have some questions though... First: Cakes has no problem playing unpatched SSB4 on an O3DS USA 9.0.0. If I get the patch from the eShop or install it as a CIA, it boots to a black screen forever until I restart it and then remove it, at which point it works again. Second: When I run a DLC CIA, bigbluemenu shows that it installed just fine, but then when I launch the game the new character(s) doesn't(don't) show up, so it doesn't seem to be installing? Or are the DLCs compatible only with the latest version of the game? The DLC shows up in my System Settings content, where I can delete it. Should I try to patch it to a newer version but not 1.0.8 and see if that works with DLC1? What patch was active when that was released? I would look it up myself but am at work, otherwise I'll look at it when I get home!

Did you update emunand to the latest version? SSB4 1.0.8 works above 9.6 or something

Update your emuNAND, and yes, the DLCs need the latest patch.
