Any news regarding the network CIA installation?

The news is that fixing up the menu is a priority for me, since I want to avoid cluttering the main menu with options.
I'll get that done tomorrow, since something IRL popped up that has to be done by tomorrow.
The porting of this to brahma is stalled indefinitely, since I have little interest in it. The base is there, though, if anyone wants to check it out.

But if you're really impatient, you can already compile and run the POC.

Yeah currently the only advantage of this being on brahma is n3DS support. But even then there's currently no emunand support for n3DS and PastaCFW already has that covered. (I think Pasta has firmlaunch working now, so there's little advantage of CakesFW on n3DS over Pasta.

Perhaps time is better invested on trying to get MSET support on n3DS going, it would be more worthwhile. :P

Also, I think you need to add a splash screen Perhaps hold a design contest for that. As for auto boot. I don't mind seeing the menu. But perhaps make it auto boot once you select a patch option instead of having to press another button and have it stop only if an error occurred.
:P

If you guys really want a splash screen, I guess I can do that.
It's not really necessary, so I'm not really motivated by it.
But if someone sends me a mockup of the menu I like, I might implement it.
Also a logo would be nice.

Also an update about this on Brahma, @AtlanticBit responded "ok, i'll do it" to my request of porting the current payload to brahma/n3ds instead of writing a new one. I've already made a beginning for that, as shown by my previous posts. The only pain is figuring out what causes the bottom screen derps. (I've been looking for that for two hours before giving up)

just clear both for gods sakes

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

or use brahmas libs if compiled for brahma

Hmm... I might do that, but the current hosting works fine. I don't have any necessity to change that.
It is all about usability - it is much easier to access releases just where the sources is. For the end user and for the developer also :)

I've seen so many people having trouble finding the releases button if they don't know github's interface.
I'll put a link in the readme as soon as next commit, even though developers are expected to be able to "just build it".

From my playing around with brahma, I noticed that the top screen is 24 bit color and the bottom is 16 bit color for some reason, and that was what was causing the weird distortion effects.

16 bits in the 565 format?

You can keep both, or add a direct link to releases folder on github in the head topic. Whatever It's up to you to choose.
Just added Cakes profile to load from my launchers at 3ds online tools page.

I got a failed to load patch error after the "Copying the FIRM" step. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, the sames files work fine with rxTools.

I already had the slot0x25keyX and the firmware.bin (because I need it for rxTools), and I added the cakes.dat on the root and the firmkey in the cakes folder. Did I miss something?

I think you're missing the firmkey.bin (which is not the same as firmware.bin)
Edit: Missed the last sentence derp me. Disregard this post x)
