i cant seem to get mother 3 to work.. what am doing wrong? or can GBA games even work in the 1st place?

Mother 3 is running on both sysnand and emunand flawlessly. Did you install patched agb_firm.cia to sysnand? and you should boot cakesfw selecting 3rd option (or 2nd option when gba.cia is installed on sysnand AND emunand, and patched agb_firm on emunand).

I've also had some real trouble with this, how do I install .cia files to my sysNAND if my NANDs are unlinked?

So rxTools got updated and wow the changes are groundbreaking.
That doesn't mean anything will change within this project. We will keep on working. Now even harder than before. This is just the beginning of something awesome in the scene.

ive installed patched agb_firm.cia to synand and installed mother 3 to sysnand. but mother 3 doesnt show up.

ive installed mother 3 to emunand (which shows up)... but dont know how to install agb_firm.cia to emunand(in fact just doesnt install with FBI).


any help?

Nevermind my last statement. Apparently, I misunderstood what roxas said.
We approached him about collaboration, since our goals are kind of the same (he also suggested it). We'll probably merge our code with rxTools.

I'm stuck in 4.5 Palantine for a long time,i'm on old 3DS with 4.5 and i don't have Cubic Ninja can i install this ? And what's the avantage vs the palantine cfw ?

You can use either rxtools and this cakesfw with MSET exploit (same as palatine CFW)
Both CFW are superior than palatine CFW in that they are able to run latest firmware on emunand and have about 90~100% success rate when entering.
Only one downside was new CFWs cannot install CIA via network (to install CIAs, one had to use palatine CFW or GW first then move to newer CFWs)
But rxTools 2.5 can install FBI via launcher menu.
So I can say there is NO reason to stay/

Do i need anything else then a 3DS with 4.5 firmware ? I don't have Gateway blue card.
And do you have an more detailled tutorial for install this cfw on 4.5 ?

have u consider adding autoboot features?. it seem u have 3 mode which we can boot. maybe add a config which mode to boot directly.

I still want to finish this project. Won't throw it away just because I want to work together with rxTools.
So there goes an update. You can now select patches in a neat menu.

About the collab, it first needs to be easier to contribute to rxTools, this means for one creating a sound build system. I'll be looking into it, though everyone can of course help.
